Hi JesseJohn, Thank you for choosing the Hisense 100U8K and for sharing your feedback with us. This TV has a native refresh rate of 144 Hz. Motion Enhancement (image interpolation) doubles the motion rate to 480 Hz by creating new frames and inserting them in-between frames. Received the television yesterday after ordering it on November 17th.TV is Huge to say the least.Comes on a wooden crate with even a piece of ply wood protecting it as well.. Picture out of the box is in energy saver mode and must be turned off to start to obtain the potential that the set has. After calibrating it it’s amazing the picture that it delivers.Black levels are approaching OLED quality and the picture is bright and the colors are vivid. All photos are from the television taken from YouTube content.Get this beast if you can.Its awesome P.S have no idea what it sounds like as I hooked it right up to a Sonos ARC Soundbar.and as anyone else should be using it with a home theatre processor or Good soundbar
I bought this HUGE TV primarily because i am a huge football fan. The picture is magnificent, however the processor operating the tv cannot keep up while watching live football and as a result causes a lot of cutting out/ stuttering. I actually had to buy an Apple 4K TV device to solve the problem. If you are not watching live sports you will love this tv if you are either plan on adding additional support or buy another TV. For the money i spent 3000$ ill live with it. Any more and it would be going back.

I was extremely happy to unbox this huge tv. I waited for this deal to come back around and was happy as heck saving $2000 on a $5000! Now the picture and the brightness is amazing for the price I paid. Hisense has stepped up their game and trust me you will be happy with this product if you are looking for a bright tv in well lit rooms.

I bought this TV primarily for the picture quality and it exceeded my expectations. Excellent color out of the box and bright clear picture. Terrific reflection handling. I have this tv in a bright room and dont see any distracting glare. One negative is that the firmware seems glitchy. From day one the tv CEC worked intermitantly with my new model Onkyo amp. I have two devices connected and the tv often selects my bluray device audio when i attempt streaming from one of the apps forcing me to manually switch the input. In addition, the google voice seemed to work perfectly for the first day. On day two, the voice assist would not power the tv on or off even though it acknowledged the command. Day 4 the voice assist would not select an app when commanded. I uninstalled and reinstalled google and got it mostly working except still fails on power on/off commands. Sent a note to Hisense a week ago but no response yet. My bestbuy experience was more of a mixed bag. The tv price dropped $1000 3 days after my purchase but bestbuy refused my request for price adjust. Very frustrating. Took 6 calls with customer service giving conflicting info before receiving the final "no". On the positive side the Geek squad did a great job with delivery and mounting of the tv.

This is a fantastic TV! and I got it at a great price from Best Buy with FREE installation! First, the TV is simply Amazing! I replaced an 86" with this 100" and the difference is massive! Build quality doesn't feel as good as my 86" LG - but good enough. Sound is good, I didnt find the need to add a sound bar. Im just blown away when using the correct 4K content, like ATMOS VISION, which my old TV didnt support, its a whole new level of INCREDIBLE. Installation by the Best Buy team was great as well. I must admit, when I saw the two young guys show up to install, it made me a little nervous! Then 2 more guys showed up! One who clearly was the leader - he came in, took control, gave directions, and my TV mount is absolutely perfect! They could not have done a better job. At the end of the day - I AM ECSTATIC with my TV and the job those guys did.

I have both the 100U8K and the 100U76N. The U8K is significantly brighter and has a more vibrant image overall. In HDR there is no contest between the two. In SDR they look very similar...with the U8K still being brighter. Both displays suffer from a long list of bugs that range from tolerable to outright insanity. Also both screens have terrible color uniformity. You will only see it in some content but when you do see it you can't stop noticing it. Despite all that, I can't part with either one of these TVs because the price to size/image quality is unbeatable.

Its Great! I mean it is 100 inches! Only glitch i have seen is the EARC stopped working. I tried different cables. It worked for a week or two, then died. I can work around with optical. So probably not a big deal depending how you use it. The sound from the TV is actually really good too if you dont have a 5.1 system or higher. Movies look better with how bright it gets and full array local dimming. Honestly, i could not pass it up at this price and i dont regret it because the 110 inch is $20,000.

Before mounting the TV on the wall, take a photo of the serial number on the back of the set. Hisense told me the serial number on the box is not the correct serial number. They wanted me to take the tv off the wall for the serial number. I had a snaking camera that was able to take a picture of the first 3 digits of the serial number. Those 3 numbers match the serial number on the box. Hisense Tech support is horrible. Hisense said the serial number has to start with the size of the screen. I spoke to a supervisor. They're wrong. When purchasing this set, I wanted something larger than an 83" OLED. I knew ahead of time the limitations as far as viewing angle is concerned (its extremely narrow). I did not expect to see burned out pixels that look like bugs on the screen from 20 feet away. These pixel issues were not there when the set was first turned on but developed a week later. There are two clusters of bad pixels with random bad pixels all over the screen. The set is being replaced the end of the month. Over the air TV reception (using an antenna): I am having issues with the ATSC 1.0/3.0 Tuner. Limited program guide or none at all. On every other TV in my house as well as a 50" Hisense, they all tell me what the program is. I think the TV is spectacular if it had a screen with less pixel damage. Don't count on the back lit remote. It is "back lit" if you put the remote in a pitch black environment. I don't use the internal speakers but they do sound very good. I did not rate sound quality

Large screen! Great value! The image is indeed bright and after adjusting every input to enhanced and adjusting the image PQ settings for each video type (HDR, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, SDR), I am very pleased. My Sony 85” x900h image processing PQ is a hair better but you cant find a sony 100 in this price range. So far I haven’t experienced any issues and I feel confident with my purchase since I have the 5 year Best Buy Geek Squad warranty.

Purchased one month ago. I bought this based on things.com reviews. This is an older model and it met my requirements of having 1000 nits, 100 inches, mini LED with local dimming. The sound is great. Also, Best Buy installers were very professional and placed the TV exactly as I had instructed. Beautiful screen, great price considering what I am enjoying now.

While the picture quality and overall performance are phenomenal, I ran into some initial frustrations. My existing HDMI cables simply weren't cutting it. My Xbox wouldn't achieve 4K at 120Hz, failed several standard compatibility tests, and Dolby Vision on my Apple TV refused to work. Even the CEC feature, which controls my stereo sound through the TV, was unreliable and glitchy. After researching, I replaced all my HDMI cables with high-end Fusion8K HDMI cables, and the difference was immediate and incredible. Suddenly, everything worked flawlessly—the Xbox easily hit 4K at 120Hz with no test failures, Dolby Vision kicked in beautifully, and the CEC issues disappeared completely. Save yourself the hassle and upgrade your HDMI cables upfront.

I've been in the market for a 100 inch TV for the last 6 months. Looking at Samsung, Sony, LG, TCL and others. I've heard a lot of positive reviews regarding the Hisense but had concerns because the 100 inch was never on display. I decided to give it a shot because Best Buy had it on sale for $2800. In short, it was a great decision. I've been working in TV production for over 30 years so picture quality was my number one concern. This TV has a great picture. In my opinion, it compares with all of the top brands, and at that price, a no brainer. I believe, if they had it on display where you can compare it with the other brands, they would sell a lot more. I think it's one of the best values out there. Do yourself a favor and buy this set. You can always return it if not happy. I don't think that will happen. Lastly, Best Buy had a one day sale a week after I purchased my set. I reached out and received an additional $250 off. My final cost $2550. If anything changes with this set, I will update this review. It's only been 3 weeks.

Nice TV with excellent picture quality. Massive screen and great resolution. I am using Yamaha TV reciever and using sound processing thru the reciever. Otherwise sound quality is OK for a TV of this size. Very bright and works well in a lit up room. Price is reasonable. Remote works fine.Google TV is a bonus.

Tv and picture seems ok for now (3-weeks new). The remote sucks, Tv would not work until I received a new remote. Many others have had the same problem with the remote. Goggle Tv is ok (a little slow and awkward) better with Roku. But the tv is ok good picture and sound with the right hdmi cables. Good price

The TV looks amazing overall, however there is a lot of artifacts on fast moving media. The sound booms in my smaller media room, and the brightness is decent enough to run during the day.

This TV is huge and awesome! Go big or go home, right?!?! We chose big for the home. :-) Seriously, this is an amazing TV. Our living room is very large and it fits well. Also, we chose not to mount it on the wall. In my opinion, it is too big and heavy to mount.

There is a reason its priced the way it is guys. I fell for it. I was one of the “lucky few” that paid $2,999 on Black Friday. Great price regardless of what i think of this thing. Really, excellent deal for a 100” screen on any planet you are from. Now, having said that, its not a great deal for people with high standards and expectations unfortunately. Problem 1: Colors suck. No way to make this thing look top notch on Apple TV no matter what you do. Simply doesnt look good. Colors are not vibrant or striking. Now, i am coming from an LG G2 83” so ive been spoiled with image quality. This tv does NOT compete with an LG G2 on any level. Not even close. Problem 2: for anyone with a Pioneer receiver that ises the video feed function for doing updates and making adjustments, this tv is not compatible with that kind of video feed from the receiver. Just doesnt work. Problem 3: the tv does not always want to turn on using the apple remote and receiver set up. You have to bust out with the tv remote all the time. Annoying. Last problem: Tv just doesnt seem that bright like reciewers say. It seems not impressive, particularly when i was watching Macerick on apple TV ( I payed for the 4K movie on apple tv movies store). Looks like trash. I miss my G2 83”, i moss it bad. 100” is not worth the trade offs on a Hisense Tv, please teust me on this.
