The news option enhances dialogue. The movie setting gives extra bass for better sound when watching a movie. A music setting provides a more balanced sound, This an ok soundbar. There are better soundbars out there, but you will need to pay more money.

However, I couldn’t get the optical port to work so I had to pull another hdmi wire through my wall. Good thing I have an extra hdmi port in my tv for this!
