I switched from a soundbar to this Hisense surround system and the upgrade was obvious right away. The sound fills the whole room and just makes everything—movies, shows, and music—feel bigger and clearer. Music especially sounds great. Out of the box it already sounds really good, but the EQ settings are simple if you want to adjust things. The rear speakers add just the right amount of surround without being too much, and the subwoofer has nice deep bass that isn’t overwhelming. Setup was super easy. The system plays a sound when it powers on so the speakers auto-sync, which meant I didn’t have to worry about plugging them into the right spots—it just worked. On top of that, it looks nice and sleek with a pretty small profile, so it blends into the room really well without being bulky. The only small issue I’ve had is sometimes needing to turn it off and back on again if it’s been sitting unused for a while, but that’s rare. Overall, it’s been a great upgrade and I’d definitely recommend it if you’re ready to move past a soundbar.

This system was so easy to set up. It really just needs power plugs and the hub finds all of the speakers wirelessly. Once it was turned on my movie viewing experience changed tremendously. This is night and day better than the sound bar I was using. So much depth and the sound envelopes the room. Such a great purchase.

The system handles just about every modern audio format you could want, Dolby Atmos, DTS-HD Master, Multi-channel PCM and outputs up to 500W with a frequency response of 40Hz–20KHz, which means it handles both booming bass and subtle treble details well. Build quality is solid: the subwoofer is sturdy at 15" tall, and the satellites feel premium despite being lightweight. I also like that the energy efficiency is under 0.5W in standby and the fact that it’s “room fitting tuned” if paired with a Hisense TV. If I had to be critical, I’d say the lack of Wi-Fi streaming limits it slightly compared to some pricier competitors, but honestly Bluetooth 5.3 gets the job done. For the price point, this system punches well above its weight.

If I’m nitpicking, the control box is compact but has no display screen, just an LED indicator. That said, once the sound kicks in, you forget about it. For the price, it’s one of the best balanced systems I’ve used.
