I got this TV because I am a heavy console gamer. I own both the PS4 Pro and Xbox One S and I knew I wanted a TV that supported the HDR10 standard that both consoles support. I was looking at the LG 7700 series, however, for $500 less and very similar features this Hisense looked promising. I went to BestBuy to look at a floor model. Unfortunately, they don’t display this TV so I had to just hope that it would fit my needs. When I got it home I was absolutely blown away at the detail the picture had. I got this for $750 on sale for Presidents weekend. For anyone who uses a TV primarily for gaming, I would HIGHLY recommend this TV.
If you’d like a full review on specs and all that, this is where I got my information.

I had no illusions on a HISENSE 65” compared to a Samsung, but they new set has delivered on quality, ease of use, picture, and smart features. Didn’t pay much for it ($500) and sold the old 55” Samsung for $300, makes for ever better value! A really nice set, 4K Amazing! And is a great entry TV for this type!

Well! After reading specs and buying this TV on the 18th, a 36 inch Vizio 5.1 sound bar system; I'm feeling a little buyer's remorse:
Built in apps are just bad - lots of generic shovel ware. I thought by buying an a TV new inbox with a release date of about a year ago would render the TV somewhat supported by the manufacturer. I emailed support about some issues I've had about two weeks ago with no reply. I have updated the TV's firmware to what ever recent release Hisense has out there - no dice though.
YouTube app constantly buffers despite super duper wireless AC 5ghz awesomeness (even with 480p content!! It stops and buffers for 5-10 minutes at a time, I've tried swapping network channels, everything! I'll even try doing an Ethernet drop from my router today so I can faithfully say I've gone the distance). My old apple tv box works flawlessly despite it's age. The TV also throws up licensing errors when trying to watch google movies purchases. No last Jedi here boys I wanted to "benchmark" my setup with this movie. I even called YouTube red / Google play movies support for help. At first they thought I was pirating the last Jedi, then it became clear that the TV's built in YouTube app is trash, and google support stated there should be a dedicated app for google movies.
ARC does not work - I hate manually syncing - it never is right! No response from the manufacturer, I've tried all ports, Vizio's included cable, new hdmi cables, even a terriblely expensive monster cable to ensure I didn't flunk testing obvious things. This is a serious deal breaker.
The display is absolutely fantastic! I just wish the built in apps supported hdr so I can see what I'm actually paying for. The UI works, and is easy to use.
Is the remedy for my issues buying a 4k Apple TV device and a 4 port hdmi switcher? Hdmi ARC issues have eaten up a boatload of my time, CEC works but what's the point when you have to keep adjusting sync because even though the manufacturer says it supports ARC, (manual, website, box, and bestbuy advertising) there are NO designated ARC ports. So running an HDMI switcher directly into the into the sound bar, then pass it directly through hdmi on the tv is really going to be the only way to make this a sync free experience with my cable cutting life. Cause I don't think it's too much to ask for a manufacturer to support a recent product they have produced.

Did a lot...and I mean a lot of home work researching TV's between $749-$1000. I knew I wanted a 60-65 inch tv and I wanted it to be 4K UHD with HDR, full version or not. Picture is Amazing! It take time though like I'm sure you've read to calibrate it, I'm on day 5 of use and still tweak here and there. I strongly recommend going on YouTube if you're having issues get the proper 4K and or HDR setting to function, I primarily use and Xbox one s but will use the tv's iOS from time to time(on that note I've had zero issues with the iOS). For all the gamers...I only play Forza, Jordan Speith PGA, Madden 17 and NHL 16...so I'm not a big game guy. Mounting on the wall was easy, I've read a few things about plug locations making it difficult, I had no issues. If you do run into one I promise Best Buy will have any adaptor you need to change the angle to fit your needs, and they are not expensive. I didn't know much about the brand until i researched it, don't let that scare you. They are the 4th largest tv manufacture in the world they are just new here...remember when vizio first came out, I do...."oh no it seems to good to be true but who are they". I would recommend this to anyone and everyone! Oh yeah what's to worry about if something goes wrong down the road...4 year parts and labor warranty(2 yrs more than anyone else). Maybe this is everything you've already read before on this Hisense 65H8c...it checks out. At least it has for me! Enjoy

This TV is a Hisense 65 inch 4K model 65H8C and I purchased it to replace my older 1080p Toshiba 55 inch. I was amazed at the picture quality after watching some 4K videos on YouTube. I am also pleased with the 4 HDMI ports and 3 USB ports. I have a lot of devices hooked up and could even use 5-6 HDMI ports but 4 is my minimum. The sound is not that great but with some tweaking it is OK. I use a 5.1 surround sound system in my living room whenever I want to watch a movie but normally when I'm watching CNN or a regular TV broadcast station the sound is acceptable. The apps are acceptable but I wish it had the older VIDAA interface rather than this newer one which uses the Opera App Store rather than the Google Play Store. Available apps are not that great but it does provide the most popular ones like Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, Crackle, Vudu, and a browser which I did get to work with my Logitech mouse. So far I can not find a way to use a keyboard but I did find an app on my Android phone that works for that purpose. Trying to use the remote to move about on the on screen keyboard is just too tedious. It is pretty heavy at 66 lbs and I did wall mount it using a Cheeta mount with a 15 deg tilt. Overall I gave it 5 stars for the performance and value. For the apps and sound I would rate it more at 4 stars. The big kicker is also the 4 year parts, labor and in-home service that it comes with. I called Hisense customer service and they answered right away and were very helpful with questions I had about HDR and firmware updating. They also emailed me a PDF manual to have incase I needed it. Hisense is #1 selling brand in China and they are doing a good job. Don't hesitate to give this set a try for the money it is worth $100's more.

I use this tv with my Ps4, netflix and regular Spectrum cable box and so far everything looks great. The only con is that if you like the ultra smooth motion aka soap opera effect it does judder and look choppy on certain scenes. That whole effect annoys me so I keep it off anyways.
It is an edge lit TV so dark scenes dim the whole picture so keeping that option on is worthless as well.
But the colors pop out do pop out on the ps4, and 1080P does look amazing with having to do barely any settings to the Tv. I do not own a True 4k hdr player or console so I couldn't tell you how that looks.
I am still awaiting for a firmware upgrade for HDR netflix, hopefully Hisense comes thru with it.
So the 2 main things are if you like a tv with soap opera motion or a full array dimmable panel this isn't for you. But heck for the price I could care less.

I have to say that I am very happy with the purchase thus far. Colors are bright and the picture is sharp and clear, which is what you'd expect with a UHD television, but it's nice to see at this level with a purchase at this price point.
Sound is clear with a nice range and not too much bass. The upscaling and HDR effect is nice as well. You can easily spend hundreds more for an entry level 4K TV, but, with this item, so far, I can't see why you should.

Just gonna get to the meat and potatoes:
Pros:
Excellent, Crisp, Sharp 4K picture quality when watching native 4K. HDR content is amazing to watch. This tv gets BRIGHT and best of all it is a 10-bit panel with a WCG.
Upscales 1080p and lower SD content very very well.
Audio is pretty good for a tv this size...it gets pretty loud.
Input lag...there is NONE or it is so minimal you will not even notice it. I use this tv as my PC monitor and to play console games and there is no discernible lag when i press the button to when the action is displayed on the screen. Gamers will love this tv. I toggles between Theater/Game mode and do not feel any lag at all.
Cons:
None to report.
Extras:
Can't beat the amazing clarity of this panel and it's good sound. Excellent buy with a 4-year warranty!

I purchased this TV as my first 4k smart TV to replace an aging 55" Samsung HD that I own. This TV had decent professional reviews, so I thought I'd give it a chance. Turns out it's just a mediocre performer, and I actually ended up returning it to buy an open-box Sony Bravia of the same size, better specs, more features, and a MUCH better picture quality and user interface for about $140 more.
My biggest issue with this TV was the poor color uniformity, especially in dark or black scenes. There was pretty bad clouding or ghosting in the image, never rendering even close to a uniform black. It was a nice bright picture during lit up scenes, but the quality of the dark color rendering was really distracting otherwise. I couldn't get past it, and my girlfriend (not a videophile nor am I) was also really distracted by it, so we decided to go through the effort of re-boxing it, hauling it down to the nearest Best Buy in sub-freezing temps, and replacing it (it's also really heavy, about 20 lbs heavier than the Sony that replaced it!). If you can get past the dark color issues, it's a decent TV for the price point, though you might find a more reliable brand for about the same price with better features.
Set up was easy, though slow (the OS is Opera based and is lacking features). It connected to wi-fi no problem and we were streaming rather quickly. The lack of phone connectivity means you have to register using the remote, which is a pain... The OS seemed clunky and lacking.
Overall, I think this brand has promise, they're just not there yet... User interface needs improvement, picture quality needs a big improvement, but for entry-level pricing you can't be too picky. If you have the ability to scour the stores for open-box items or have the time to research similar-priced items, you may be better off with a comparably priced Samsung or LG for now.

As has been said plenty of times before--this TV is worth a look at it's everyday price, and an even closer look at any sale price point. Yes, it can be outperformed by a host of premium options by more well-known manufacturers -- but at twice to three times the cost.
So far I've been quite pleased with this TV and it's ability to bring my living room in to the 4K HDR generation. Set up was easy, the OS and smart features are basic but serviceable. It looks great with upscaling for SD and HD content and I have no complaints with how the XBOX One S works with it.
Hopefully, I will not have to use the included 4-Year warranty but it was a great value proposition to add to an already compelling list of features.

After reviewing like-sized units, I decided to take a chance with this Hisense. I was not disappointed. The HDR-10 feature was a driving force and the picture looks fantastic. Some have stated that the remote was too simple - I found this to be a plus. Plenty of inputs for HDMI. Highly recommended.

The picture is fantastic, sound quality is great. The salesman said a big name brand company owns hi sense and his parents bought this tv so we thought we'd try it. Enjoying the 65" H8C TV! One big bonus I did not realize Dolby Vision works! On TV app it uses HDR 10 on Netflix, when using Apple TV 4K Netflix displays in Dolby Vision which is much brighter and rich. I flip back and forth on the Coral show to compare. Cool!

This seems like a good tv for the price, although Walmart had a Hisense 4K tv that had almost the exact same model no. for $100 less. Our old large flat screen was an expensive Samsung model that I thought was good but it had developed numerous missing pixels that we finally couldn't tolerate.
I didn't know as much going in as I wish I would've known. The 4K is a mixed blessing: even movies and programs shot on film look like they were shot on video which I guess isn't bad-it's just different. I hooked up an old VHS player because we still have a few old tapes including some home video and they look like bad because the 4K isn't kind to the old standard resolution video formats. It's probably asking too much to have a setting that would 'smooth' out the look of them.
Audio is pretty decent.
My other concern is how long will this tv last? Will it develop missing pixels too after some years? I know electronic manufacturers want us to discard tvs and computers after they are only a few years old to sell us the latest and greatest but I want my stuff to last. It isn't so great if my tv has a shorter lifetime than the tires on my car.

My 1st HD TV ever purchase was a samsung 27" LCD HD TV. at the time samsung brand was unknown (this was the time before the xbox 360 launch). review raved about value and quality. Did some research on hisense, and this brought back memories of samsung. Hisense is truely a quality product and is putting great feature and built quality towards their product. only downside on this version TV is it's only 60 hz, But you are getting HDR and picture quality that match 2-3x the price of other brands.

This is the second Hisense that I have. The Hisense products do an excellent job with colors and brightness. 4K content is truly stunning.
I have had the 65in for 3 months now and it works well at just about all types of viewing. Racing (Nascar, Indy, F1), the Stanley Cup playoffs all look fantastic. Football season will be the true test. The smart TV function works great, but app choices are a bit slim. It does take some time to get the picture settings right as there are a lot of setting options. Other reviews complain about poor black or dark scene picture quality. I haven't noticed any problems. In fact the performance has been just the opposite, Excellent black quality and contrast.
The only cons are that it is a 60hz screen and it is edge lit. Full screen solid colors have some bright and cool spots - only noticeable if you are looking for it.
This TV is a great value under $800. You can pay more for very little improvement in performance. Until OLED prices get more reasonable, this is a perfect choice

After doing a lot of research, we bought the Hisense 65". Great HD picture and brilliant color, along with top knotch processing of the 1080 signal to a HD sharpness. Easy to set up and adjust. Netflix works perfectly. Easy remote to use, but I wish it had a dedicated sleep button on remote. There are 4 steps to go through to set the sleep timer. I would recommend this tv so far, but since we have only had it a month the dependability of it cannot be reviewed. We recommend getting a soundbar with subwoofer for maximum audio experience.
