I bought this television to mate with my Xbox Series X console. I did some research about what TVs had the specs to do the 120 fps on UHD. I was looking at the LG C1 but the best prices were about 1,799.00 and I was not paying 2,000 dollars to play my video game on a television. A couple of the testing sites touted the Hisense UG8 as being one of the best affordable options. So I took a chance on the Hisense. I have only had it for a short period of time, but so far I am well please with its picture

If you’ve researched this tv then you know it’s one of the best 2021 models available. Picture is crazy bright and it is great for gaming with two 4K 120hz HDMI inputs. Not much you can say is wrong with this tv

Spent $1000 on this TV on sale. The TV has issues and constantly drops out of apps while watching programs. Additionally, the TV has issues connecting to my Onkyo TX-NR696 AVR or vis-a-versa.

Make sure to purchase the EXTENDED WARRANTY On any HISENSE TV Because I purchased 2 & both have problems now. Hisense will not help me. 55" h9g April 2021, 65" Dec 2021, h8 - a beautiful tv. The 55" backlight is blown & the 65" the picture is flickering & I hear a squealing coming from the back, probably ready to blow. Make sure to put on Good surge Protectors. You Never think it will happen to you. And, when you DO NOT BUY the WARRANTY you do not need it. Heed this Warning.

Great gaming tv for the priced. PS5 or any Series X/S will look great in this tv. Now it is a flickering issue when using 4K 120hz with VRR in Xbox but it was address in a firmware update provided by Hisense Techical Support team. So, you may need to contact them to get it. After that the only issue here is that you cannot enable both Xbox VRR and Hisense FreeSync since for some reason the Backlight “Local Dimming” get disabled. But works fine by only enable the Xbox VRR the Hisense FreeSync. Until now Hisense technical support is investigating this issue.

We have alot of TVs in our house Ranging from $5000 Sony tv to a $400 tv. This was a Father’s Day gift for our room. And let me just say this TV competes with some of the higher end TVs that we have. When I’m watching it it could easily be mistaken for one of our OLED tv’s. The colors are amazing on this TV and the blacks are great. For the price point and the quality of the TV that you’re getting you cannot go wrong.
Overall great buy, outstanding picture, I was going to ruturn and upgrade to Sony but no need this one does what I need it to do, PS5 GAMES, WOOOWWWWW.

Tv showed up and was excited to get it. Got it home and noticed it had a very small chip in the screen (sad face). Thinking I’m going to continue to try the tv out to see if it’s worth returning and getting another one but first impression of the tv minus the chip. Picture is excellent compared to my 5 yr old Hisense. Haven’t used it’s more then a couple hours so I’ll update this later

Overall, it's a decent, nice-looking TV, and for $1000 it's a fairly good deal (I bought it on sale and wouldn't recommend paying more than that). The Android TV platform is nice; it's fast and rarely freezes, and definitely superior to the Vizio Smartcast that I use on my other TV. However, the TV itself has some pretty annoying aspects, and because of that I will be going back to Vizio with my next TV purchase. Here is my take as to why I only gave it 3 stars: 1) There is no info button on the controller to just display current information like resolution/time/HDR/etc. Therefore the only way to see what resolution you're currently streaming at is to go into the menu and then the help submenu, which really sucks because the menu is glitchy... 2) The menu system is very glitchy and clunky, and pressing the menu button often automatically pauses a streaming movie and goes to a black screen, which I do not like. In some apps, this means you cannot see the resolution that you are currently getting because going into the menu seemingly puts the TV into some kind of limbo (see picture of screen while trying to see the resolution on Temple of Doom in Paramount+). Additionally, I use the sleep timer a lot, and there is no running counter on it to let you know how much time is left so if you haven't been keeping track yourself, you just have to keep resetting the timer (and it maxes out at 2 hours, which I think is kind of low). There are other things, like the picture settings sometimes just resetting themselves for no apparent reason, but those are my biggest gripes about the menu. 3) The motion interpolation (motion enhancement) feature is awful in my opinion. At first it was interesting in a "watching a train wreck" kind of way, but now it's just annoying. There is a distinct "soap opera effect" with pretty much every setting other than film. And most of the presets seem to have it jacked up to the max, so you have to keep manually changing it (see comment above about how sometimes the picture settings just seem to revert back to preset for no reason). 4) I'm not consistently getting a 4K signal on 4K movies, and I know it is not my internet speed because my Vizio TV is connected to the same network and I've compared them side by side and the Vizio always displays in 4K when it's supposed to. For instance, the new Matrix movie on HBOMax is supposed to be 4K, but I kept getting a strange 1800p resolution instead of the full 2160p. I hope this helps others who were in my position and thinking of switching to this brand from something else. My advice, unless you are getting a great deal (< $1000), I would recommend staying with another brand like Vizio.

The TV is great. The graphics and especially the audio are outstanding. No need to buy a sound bar, and the HDMI 2.1 port provides a top-notch experience for games that support 120 Hz. I paid $950 for this TV, but it is a reasonable price given the specs. The only problem is the availability of this TV. It is only available at select Best Buy locations.

It is just amazing for streaming movies and the best for gaming at 120fps in 4k resolution.

The picture and sound alone deserves a 5 star rating. The reason for only 3 stars is due to both lack of and, limited use of Android apps to match the capability of the ULED TV. Specifically, an app available on my Samsung Android phone to watch TV through my cable/internet provider is no where to be found. This is true for many other Google Play Store apps. The biggest, and unpleasant, surprise was the unavailability of UHD (4K) movies I have purchased on both MoviesAnywhere and, VUDU, which are limited to HDX (1080p) on this TV. MoviesAnywhere at least gives a link to find out why this is happening. Regardless of the reason, Hisense needs to get this fixed ASAP. Once they do, this rating will go up to the 5 stars it deserves.

This is the Smart TV you are looking for! Everything is great from picture quality to the easiest and smoothest Smart App home. Also, a plus you can use Hey Google for Hands Free for everything for it. Great when you have new born/baby young child that you need your hands for.

Excellent TV, the HDR is super bright and good blacks, but mine had very poor native black uniformity. With Hisense, it is hit and miss with the panel lottery. Hopefully, they get them back in stock so I can try another unit.
