Hissing Fauna is one of my Top 5 all time albums. This double album takes you theough every sonic high and lyrical low in perfect vinyl style. If you have never heard it, you will not be disappointed. If you’ve heard it 1,000 times, you will not be disappointed. After the album proper closes on Side 1 of the second record, the EP Icons, Abstract Thee finishes off the collection of songs created for the initial release, which was originally intended to use “No Conclusion” to both open and close the release, changing the story told by Barnes to indicate the cyclical nature of his fragile state. If you have never heard the early mix that shows how these songs fit into the whole, look for it online. That’s worth it as well.
