Great product and good sound. I enjoyed watching it. Would recommend this.

This is, without a doubt, the weakest movie in the Middle-earth franchise. Would've been better served sticking to the original plan of splitting the book into two three-hour films. Those who pick up the book after having seen these movies will wonder at times if it's even the same piece of fiction. Azog, the primary antagonist in the trilogy, was mentioned only once in all of Tolkien's work. I don't recall the Necromancer even existing in the original book; he may have simply been a way for Peter Jackson to put Sauron (the Middle-earth Big Bad from the Lord of the Rings) in the film. Here's hoping that the Extended Edition adds enough to at least bring this film up to the level of the first Hobbit movie.

This is a great movie. I saw it in the theater and is a good finish to the trilogy.

As with the other Hobbit and Lord of the Ring movies, I thought it was a bit long.

As far as the movie goes, it's alright. A cash grab for sure. One book that's stretched out to make 3 movies. If you can wait, the delux, definitive, all extras version will come out soon, followed by the limited edition box set of the trilogy, followed by the limited edition, 6 movie ultra collection...you get my point
