    These 3 movies from the amazing Hobbit book are filled with extra story lines that Tolkien never intended. What should have been a tight story and fine character development is replaced with too much action and carnage, and not enough empathy. see it for the ride, but read the books!

    The three hobbit films overall were not even close to the level of quality or entertainment reached by the LOTR movies. That said they are fun and we'll put together. This final film of the three is in my mind the best of them, with the large battle sequence being a highlight.
