The price was better than anywhere else which was the best part of this purchase. The movie itself was lackluster, dragged on and a large disappointment. Easily the worst out of the 6 LotR movies

    The Trilogy Fizzles

So-so acting, special effects were laughable at times. I guess if you're into the first movies you gotta have this one, but it's easily pass-able.

The dragon attack on the town had good special effects. The battles were drawn out and a little bit long. The story is not as good as the original trilogy, but the special effects are better.

Well it completed the trilogy at least

The Hobbit didn't need to be 3 films, and dragging it out took a lot of creative effort. Visually, this film is stunning, as with all of the LOTR series, but storywise, I found it lacking.

This was enjoyable to see a movie adaptation of the story. I thought there were more liberties taken with the story than should have been and went overboard with Thorin's internal strugle.

The offer was that you buy movie ahead of time and get to watch the movie thru some web access that wasn't available to me,which I didnt find out till after the fact. Ruined my day off.

This final episode was disappointing due to its poor storyline. It was deja vu. Sort of a poor remake of the Lord of the Rings. Okay, but not up to the level of the previous trilogy.

It would seem that as the trilogy progressed, the movies did not live up to the prior movies. I don't think there was enough good material to complete three movie from the one book.

I love the book. This trilogy development really drugs out all the battles and adds what is not in the original. Additions come from other Tolkien sources such as the Silmarillion.

A decent ending to a decent series. The Hobbit was not as good as The Lord of The Rings, but still enjoyable to watch. This movie had entertaining action, but only an okay script.

The Battle of the Five Armies is not the best of the six Middle Earth movies, in fact it's probably worst, but it had its moments.

I have seen all the movies in this series, although this is a good movie, it is the weakest movie in the series. It left me wanting more. Not just seeing great battle scenes

    Too Long, Too much CGI

This movie was the worst in the hobbit trilogy. It was extremely long and drawn out and the CGI was awful. The battles looked like they were from a poorly made video game.

Picked this up for $7 on Black Friday - great price... though this is probably the weakest of the three Hobbit movies IMO

I would say this is the best of the three hobbits, but I think it could have been better. A must have though if you already have the collection. Felt like 3 armies not 5.

The film is, from a visual perspective, great but as will happen when you stretch a 300 page book in to 3 3+ hour movies, by the end you just want it to be over.

Dragon ending to fast. Rest was fine other than pacing issues. Should have taken more time with dragon as movie before built up the hype then poof it was over.

The movie itself is fine but feels like a repeat of Lord Of The Rings saga. Had they stuck to the book and not done a Hollywood sellout it would have been better.

Three Long Movies from One Short Book?

The greed that motivated the decision to turn one short book into three interminably long movies is astounding. Thank goodness that this "trilogy" is completed.

I wasn't impressed with this trilogy. I knew it was a mistake when I heard three movies would be made from the one book. Sometimes, I do not like to be right.
