As we already own the the first trilogy and the next two of this one, we bought this in 3D. The best of the three!

Although it might not be as strong as the 2nd movie this one is still rather good! And the steelbook case is amazing.

Great affects... Great story line... This addition of the hobbit will not disappoint! A must buy if your a collector!

Visual effects were awesome. The fact they were able to keep same charters through all of the movies helps.

I read the book so long ago that I don't remember the events, but I know I do like this trilogy. LOTR will always be better in my mind, but I definitely liked The Hobbit and #3 serves as a great conclusion.

Movie is a little overdone - feels like they stretched the story to get three films out of it. But the DVD is great - nice to have a choice of a variety of formats/packages that all have access to some extras.

Started watching an couldn't stop until I watched all dvds. Was awesome movie. Captivating! Suspenseful.

Saw this in theaters and had to complete my home collection. The 3d looks great on my 4k TV I also bought at Best Buy

So sad to see the end with no more to come. I can reread the books and watch the movies over and over as consolation.

Epic conclusion to an epic trilogy. This extended edition is awesome and provides much more info to the story.

After watching the Hobbit series this makes me want to re-look at the Tower series as it seem to tie it all together

This is a grand ending to the epic Hobbit series. I will miss the series. Here's hoping for "The Silmarillion."

This is an epic ending to a wonderful story told by Peter Jackson through the movie. Just Breathtaking scenery!!!!!

It's entertaining right, wraps up all the loose ends, but really the book could have been adapted with just 2 movies....3 is a bit excessive and stretched. The original LOTR films leave these in their dust.
