What a tremendous ending to the Hobbit series action packed with a great ending

There are some problems here. The story suffers some under the weight of being blown up across 3 long movies. The title character's story gets lost a bit with the innumerable sub-plots. There are questions that are not clearly answered: Exactly who are the 5 armies? Plus, as with any prequel, there is a certain lack of tension: You already many key characters are going to live... However, with all of that said, Tolkien's Middle Earth is beautifully realized by Jackson as always. Plus Freeman, McKellen, and Armitage deliver standout performances.

All 3 of the Hobbit movies are pretty much on the same level...the level of great movies! Pick it up!
