Hogwarts legacy is hands down every harry potter fan’s utopia and dream come true! This amount of detail and beauty this game consists is iff the charts. First of all let me tell you that wide open world games arent my main thing, but there are a few exceptions (ghost of tsushima, death stranding, god of war) and Hogwarts legacy is definitely one of them exceptions! The things that you can do are endless, and everything is straight fleshed out from the Rowling books and movies. I initially believed that this game might stress the hell out me, since I expected it to be super open world, with lots and lots to do for 100+ hours and so forth. However, I find myself to feel otherwise anytime I play it. The game itself is very and I mean VERY relaxing! By means of the main quests, story plot, environments. During your walkthrough, you will find that you have an incredible variety of everything, and its always going to take you to “go with the flow” kind of thing. In other words, you want feel bored doing like a chore, or anything on that end. Literally the game changes subject, and material in every little thing you might do! From potions class, to learning spells, from visiting hogsmeade and have a walk to buy your broomstick, to exploring caves and dungeons while fights dark wizards. Wow! And thats just a fraction of said variety. You can craft, your own potions, herbs, make friends from other classes, travel across the world map with your broom <<and more ;) >> and help fellas in the wizarding world for some good rewards. The only downside on this game, is that it can be really frustrating on the inventory/gear management…and I mean thats really a pain in the butt for quite some time in the game. Allas you do the merlin trials (which I suggest you do first thing) you will constantly have to get rid of cloth items through your gear menu, in order to accept the ones you will get from chests - and believe me, you will keep running into all sort of chests literally everywhere you are. At this point I want to give the game a 9/10 for its tremendous variety in both gameplay, and content. It will probably take some time till I get to finish everything on this, so I might have to come back and update this.

I enjoyed it. The combat is good and the story is pretty good too. I particularly enjoyed exploring the castle and the surrounding area. It might be a bit difficult to handle, though, for someone who is a fan of the series but is not experienced in video games.

This is the game I wish I was able to experience when I was 15, my peak of being a Harry Potter fanatic. As it stands now, I feel like a child again being wowed by the attention to detail and faithfulness to the source material. Hogwarts Legacy is a return to form for the Harry Potter franchise, set a little over 100 years before the events of the books/movies, which helps the game stretch it's creative muscles without being shackled by appearances from characters that would steal the spotlight from those created for the game. Because of this, I was sucked into the narrative. However, you might find the fun narrative being overshadowed by the thing I looked forward to the most when picking this game up; the ability to explore Hogwarts to your heart's content (provided you get the unlocking charm "Alohomora" for those pesky locked doors!). From finding the bathroom that holds the (inaccessible, since you're not a parselmouth) chamber of secrets, to discovering the secret passage behind the One Eyed Witch statue, everywhere you have wanted to explore yourself is at your disposal. If you are a Harry Potter fan in any capacity, at least consider picking this up. Don't listen to the controversy online about the game, buying this game does not make you a bad person.

I am not a big gamer and not a avid Harry Potter fan. But do like the movies. This game is totally fun. Selected story line as the easiest play for me. It holds my interest and the story is fun. If you want extra challenges, there are side quest and puzzles to figure out too. Recommend purchasing.

If you’re a Harry Potter fan (and even if you’re not) you’ll love this game. It’s the perfect mix of combat, exploration, and puzzles. It truly makes you feel like you are in the Potterverse. With a compelling story and tons to do, this game is worth every penny.

This game is absolutely gorgeous! We're all Harry Potter fans in our house and I originally bought this for my wife to play while she was on bed-rest. She's not much of a gamer, but got SUPER into this game. There is also a "story mode" for her that makes things more enjoyable as there isn't as much fighting or button mashing. For my son (7 yo) and myself however, playing on regular mode is loads of fun. Even if you're not much of a gamer but love the Harry Potter universe, just exploring and wandering through Hogwarts is total eye candy. The attention to detail the developers put into everything is absolutely incredible. The open world sand-box style game allows for endless hours of exploration, the perfect type of game when you just need a break from life!

I recently got "Hogwarts Legacy," and it’s everything I hoped for. The open-world design is breathtaking, bringing the magic of Hogwarts to life with stunning detail. The story is engaging, allowing me to carve out my own path as a student. The spellcasting mechanics are intuitive and fun, making combat and exploration exciting. The character customization options are extensive, letting me truly feel part of the wizarding world. From attending classes to discovering hidden secrets, the game offers a rich, immersive experience. It’s a must-have for any Harry Potter fan, and I’ve loved every moment of it.

We finally got a game in the Harry Potter universe that is not linear. From the spells to the story the game is all around very good. I find myself using my broom to fly around and travel even though I could just fast travel to my location which to me speaks volumes to the world the devs have made. The mosters and bosses are engaging and if your not careful you can easily become overwelmed by the enemies. If had to critique anything it would be the lack of quditch and this game could really go for a morality system. Its kind of amusing that I can just Avad kadaba and Crusio enemies and no one seems to bat an eye. But other that I highly recommend the game.

This game is amazing! I'm a casual gamer and Harry Potter fan but not a fanatic. So keeping that in mind, when I say this game has me hooked it must really be good! I love open world type games and that's exactly what this is. The freedom to explore Hogwarts and even Hogsmeade is so much fun. The graphics are incredible. I cannot stop playing this game! You don't have to be a skilled gamer to enjoy this at your own pace if you choose. I wish it had Multiplayer/Co-op but otehrwise this is perfect.

One of the greatest games I've ever played. The main story is really interesting with many quests to venture. Moreover, you can entertain numerous side quests that makes the play time of the game really long. You attend many classes that you read in the Harry Potter series. You capture and tame magical beasts, and explore the game world with fancy brooms. Fighting against evil creatures, learning new spells, brewing magical potions, and growing magical plants, you will explore the magical world that the game makers prepared for you.

As a very long-time Harry Potter fan, I must say this game is incredible. It has gone beyond my expectations, and I can't be happier with it. Well, maybe if Quidditch was included, but even so that's not a big deal with everything else the game has. It includes so much wizarding lore, secrets around the castle, a huge world to explore that looks absolutely gorgeous, and an incredibly intriguing storyline. Not only this, but the NPCs are amazing. I find myself already loving Sebastian and wanting to know more about him as my character gets to know him! I love that I am constantly still finding out new information about the world that I love so much. I have the books and movies basically memorized, but this game is adding so much more to it that I'm still intrigued in absolutely everything that I discover. As someone who loved reading the books and thoroughly missed the sense of wonder that comes from reading new books, this game has brought that back to me. The graphics are also wonderful. I love flying on my broomstick and just looking around the world around Hogwarts. Speaking of flying, I love that you can travel through the world without any loading screens! You can fast-travel, if that's more your thing, but I love flying over the Hogwarts grounds, over Hogsmede, and through the trees of the Forbidden Forest! The magic system is also so, so good. I expected it to be a little clunky, but the way they designed it was incredibly well done. You can pick and choose which spells you want in your hot bar, and it's easy to swap spells out mid-battle if you need to. I cannot recommend this game enough. If you are a Harry Potter fan, or if you just like fantasy rpgs in general, pick up the game, and pick it up now. You won't regret it.

Great game with a lot to do. Lots of side quests and ventures available in addition to the main plot. You get to make decisions. You don't have to be the clean cut goody two shoes type. You can be that witch or wizard who doesn't always do the right thing despite technically being a hero. You can give yourself a bit of an edge here and an interesting personality. Hogwarts and the places surrounding it have been masterfully brought to life in this game. One review alone cannot give it justice. Strongly recommend buying and seeing for yourself.

An immersive experience. I bought this for my daughter who watched all the movies ( I haven't, yet) and I must say I'm amazed at the open world presented here. All the details and nuances come together to craft a rich world that pulls you in. Half the time my daughter just 'hangs out' at Hogswart, traversing the halls. Both main story quests and side quests are fun. I would recommend doing the main story quests until you learn to fly then sit back and take your time with the rest of the game.
