The dorms do not have air conditioning and it was suggested to bring a fan. I only gave it 4 stars because the remote came damaged.

Owned for 9 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The great stuff about this fan is its smaller size and that it rotates. The down side is it ends up with issues about a year or two into using it. It still works mind you but the issues add up over time. And the Best Buy plan had just expired on it or we would have replaced it. Stuff just isn't made like it used to be.

Fan has 8 speed settings, so just about anybody can be happy with one of them at any time. Would definitely recommend to use in a smaller room.

I brought it home and it's a fan. It is comparable to any other. I'm happy with it. Best feature is the light weight tower.
