Very good unit so far.

No increase in noise and seems to do a good job filtering the air. The only con is that it doesn't have a timer to automatically shut off after a certain number of hours. I turn it on full speed about 1 hr before I go to bed and turn it down to it's lowest setting when I lay down. It would be nice to be able to have it shut of automatically after 8 hours.

There was an odd smell the first few time the machine was in use but that is to be expected. It is currently being used in a bedroom so it is primarily only run at night. There are 4 settings and if you are the type that likes white noise then the highest setting will be of comfort to you.
