Design flaw and a little noisy.

My dresser was saturated after a night of use. It made the finish bubble. Mist needs to jet out, not up. I don't mind a noisy humidifier, but if u do, it's a little noisy at first, then quiets. It is an attractive unit. Bought based on consumer reports.
