What is with this kid Kevin? It seems he can never take a normal vacation. If you are a fan of "Home Alone," which unleashed Macauley Culkin on the world, then this second helping of Stooges-style slapstick will go down as dessert after a meal of ice cream and cake. The same cast is back: Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern as the doofus criminals Harry and Marv, John Heard and Catherine O'Hara as Kevin's benignly oblivious parents, all the brothers and sisters and cousins (including Macauley's kid brother Kieran, who will soon replace him as THE child star in the industry, as bed-wetter Fuller). Only this time the action moves to New York City, when Kevin gets separated from his family in the airport and boards the wrong plane. The comic mayhem that ensues involves Tim Curry and Rob Schneider as over-matched staff at the Plaza hotel, Oscar-winner Brenda Fricker as a homeless woman, and Hollywood icon Eddie Bracken as a toy store tycoon who takes a grandfatherly interest in precocious Kevin. John Hughes wrote and produced again, and Chris Columbus directed again--so this is pretty much the same movie as the original. That said, considering the studio went to this well for three more sequels, "Lost in New York" looks like "The Godfather Part II" compared to what will follow. Enjoy.

Me, my sister and her oldest son thought the sequel of "Home Alone" was good, because it had everything in it: a nice hotel to spend the holiday at, the limo and pizza is my favorite part and the booby traps just cracks her and the kid up so hard. Macaulay Culkin is quite a good child actor and both Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern had to take all of the beating from him for a good laugh.
