I got a google Home Mini for my house but everytime I ask it to play a song it says I have to suscribe to play the music that I want , ao I returned and Got Alexa beacuse I already Have an account with amazon

at this point, it seems more like a nnvelty than a useful item. It does have better voice pickup than the competitor, but it cannot seem to do much useful yet. Unless you like music or have $ to burn, wait.

Bought this just wanting to test it out because I already have an echo. It's a good speaker to have in your room for music and questions. Wouldn't recommend if you want great speaker quality.

Good luck getting this set up. All went well the first couple steps. At a stand still now. Probably not worth 3 STARS ....guess I will figure out what the problem is eventually and maybe it will work.

The mini was my first entry into this realm. Haven’t really used it for much except as a timer. When I purchased a second Echo Dot, I moved this to the kitchen and use it more frequently there.

I have both the mini and echo dot and it seems that I always have to repeat myself once or twice with the mini compared to the dot. Would recommend the dot over the mini.

Stop, this may not do what you think. Did a house setup with a screen and three minis. Sure it is cool to turn lights on and off. But I really wanted to cast music from room to room. You can only multi cast music room to room if you purchase google or YouTube music subscription. I'm moderately tech savvy. I could probably be a low level geek squad guy. The thing just didn't work as I thought. It is however the best timer I ever had. It might even be worth it just as a timer. If you try this product. Start small and see if it's for you.

Works great for listening to music on Spotify or I Heart radio. Also good for getting the latest news updates. When you say goodnight it plays soothing music to help you get to sleep.

Received this as a gift and have not used it that much. Currently have the Amazon echo which I used sparingly as well. So not sure if this will be a good replacement or alternative. Time will tell.

It's good for basic information. Does what its supposed too. Quick with responses and crisp and clear. However, not the best when listening to music. Bass is very minimal.

I guess I am too used to the Echo ecosystem. This little guy just rubbed me all wrong. Good build, not expensive and sounded ok but just not my OS cup of tea.

Not so good Smart speakers from Google, not very responsive and you need to purchase premium subscription for it to work properly :(

This was a real pain in the neck to set up, and it was not worth the hassle. It worked (somewhat) for a little while to stream Spotify, but after a few uses now it won’t connect to any of my devices. It just sits in the bottom of my junk drawer, because that’s exactly what this thing is: junk. Thankfully, this product was free with the purchase of my video doorbell. Otherwise, I would be very unhappy to have wasted my money.

Mediocre at best. Has issues hearing and responding. When it does hear you it has more/better information than Alexa. Next generation should be better.

These things are a dime a dozen these days. Recent updates allowing you to use them as a Bluetooth speaker are nice. These things really should have an Aux out (like the echo dot).

Did not keep. Meh device with mediocre sound quality. I recommend looking elsewhere unless you already have bought into this universe.

my kids use it to search for facts or to find a restaurant. It was good for a while until it just starts talking to you out of the blue. Little scarry.

I got it on sale during Cmas to see what the hype was, and it kinda seems limited in specfic commands. It only plays music that u have uploaded in Google play apps or music streaming services.

Okay listen, google is the best search engine out there. It will simply give u the right answers. The only problem it has is sometimes it doesn’t fully understand you and it can get annoying
