Long distance microphone picks up your voice even if you are in another room which is great except if you are attempting to use voice commands on your phone as the Google Home seems to always win the battle as to which smart device hears you better. Sometimes it is good for the home to reply but with phone specific tasks i'd be better if it was smart enough to realize that the phone should respond instead of not do anything. Other than that controlling lights and other chromecast devices by voice has never been easier.

I love asking questions and listening to music. Once it even spoke directly to my TV. The math related answers really help me!

Easy setup as long as you remember your existing google account and password or else you have to set up a new account or try to reset google account password. Other than that works great , sound is ok don’t expect big huge stereo sound out of it but sounds as good or better as any top selling portable Bluetooth speaker . Got it connected to a couple smart bulbs for voice Activation on/off. Going with a thermostat next

I’ve been using the google Home and mini for a coupple of weeks now and it’s been great with sheduling alarms to checking the weather. I really like it cause you can control the Hue lights with just a voice command.

The sound quality that comes out of Google home is Simply Amazing Great bass sound. And the fact that you could control your Chromecast along with requesting any songs that you want on your media streaming services now you can even make phone calls for free from your Google home and also use it as a Bluetooth device it's ultimately amazing way better then Amazon Alexa besides the fact that I provide you with the correct information you want when you want because you're Googling it.

Easy to set up and sounds in pretty good. Wish you could control the base sound. Volume is also easy to control.

I received my Google Home free when I purchased my Samsung Washer and Dryer. I never thought I needed one. Now I can't live without it! It is so cool to just say, "Hey, Alexa, help me with..." And she does!

At this point I only find this good as a voice command speaker. I'd like to set reminders on a calendar but it currently doesn't support that operation, or so it tells me. It does have great sound for such a small device and I do use it to setup shopping lists that show up on my Google Home app when I'm at the store so that's convenient. It does weather updates, plays videos on our Chromecast TV and such, but unless you have a more connected home than I do it really is just a cool toy and I'd recommend it as such.

Speaker produces quality sound and Google assistant supports everything I have in smart home.

Google starts off strong with this assistant, but there is room for improvement, which will hopefully come with updates in the future. We used this to replace a table top radio in the kitchen. It plays Spotify and other audio sources and is able to pull a lot of information from Google search results and services. Hard to link to other devices, this is where Amazon Echo excels. I personally like this device in a kitchen, where as I like Amazon Echo / Dot in a living room / office to control other non-Google devices.

As a first time purchase of a home "assistant", this has been a great addition to my home. Because our home is more geared towards Android, we elected to purchase the Google Home Assistant. After researching the product online we were convinced that this would fit our needs and so far it has exceeded expectations. The setup was quick and easy and use of the Assistant has been seamless to this point. I would definatly recommend the Google Assistant to anyone looking to purchase a home assistant.

I own two of these. One in my den downstairs and one upstairs in my great room. Google home has come a long way, but still has quite a way to go. Sometimes they don't recognize who I am, so they wont tell me whats on my calendar, I can't get the travel time to work or the voice calls to work, and bluetooth pairing still needs some help. Otherwise they work great, I've paired my system with smartthings, nest, and zwave utilities and we can control all of my lights and AC with voice commands.

This is a great Alexa alternative however, I still prefer Alex for controlling smart devices. The Google Home is better at everyday questions, recipes etc... Not as much integration with smart home devices as Alexa.

This is the smart speaker for you if you are already subscribing to google play music service. Only disappointment is that it currently doesn’t link office 365 so I can’t get my work schedule played back.

I have this and I also have the Amazon Echo, and I can say that the Echo has had a very large head start in the home automation game. I do believe that Google will start adding many different features to their hub at a very fast rate, and I am hoping that it soon catches up because my home would be much better if ran by the Google version vs the Echo, cause the Echo is hindered by Amazon's policies on not allowing 3rd party services like Google music, for instance. Overall, a great buy IMO...

Music comes through great. Like news reports and weather. Our grandson loves asking it questions. Can even get a recipe. Easy set up
