I purchased two of these sound machines. The first, I got on a clearance table at Best Buy for $9. My husband needs white noise to sleep and I was tired of the fan blowing on me all night, so I thought why not... it's worth a try. Now he sleeps with the sound machine every night and no fan- it's a win-win situation. I bought a second one on sale from Bestbuy.com just in case the other one quits working. I think I paid $14 for that one. It comes with a plug-in but also takes batteries. Works great either way.

We are so pleased to find this product. The selection of noises are excellent. Every night my kids are excited to select what sound they want for the night. I haven't seen any other such product in the market. Small, lightweight, good design and works all night.

I generally love it. There's no obvious pause in the sound loop. I like how sensitive the volume is. It makes it easy to get the noise level just right. The rain and white noise are what I listen to. Sometimes though a random sound comes through. Sometimes it's high pitched or static. It's a little distracting when you're trying to fall asleep.

This works great to provide background or ambient noise when putting the newborn to bed. I find myself trying not to fall asleep while rocking her at night. The battery option is nice for when you travel.

I've probably bought 4 sound machines since having my daughter, this is the first one that has perfect tonal range and variety, and she NEVER wakes up for sounds in the house (even slept through superbowl and a rude UPS driver ringing the doorbell at 8PM

I got this for $10 bucks thanks to a gift card. For ten bucks--it does the trick. I've drifted into a peaceful lull listening to another product (won't list it here since Best Buy does not carry it) and was hoping this was comparable. I was definitely not quite as satisfied when I heard this one (particularly the "ocean" sound.) Still---it's not bad for the money.

We decided to try this sound machine when our oscillating fan broke in the middle of the winter and we couldn't find a fan in any stores. We were so addicted to the white noise we couldn't sleep. This product is great! No need for a fan in the winter. The white noise setting is great and the volume can be set very loud to drown out anything. I am ordering a 2nd one now as a backup. Small and portable so it is easy to take on a trip .

We bought this for our newborn's room. He was sleeping ok through the night, but with the SoundSpa's white noise and rain, all of us in the house are sleeping much better. It runs continuously through the night. Easy to operate and is small enough to bring along when we are visiting family. Great for all ages and getting a good nights sleep. We liked it so well, we bought two more as gifts for our extended family.

We take this machine to hotels, sleepovers, and beach houses. I cannot sleep without it. Most people need sound like a fan or the white noise from the TV but this product will save on the energy bill and you can put it as close to your face as you want (a fan just gets cold and a TV gets hot). It is used in my room as well as the kids rooms. For $20 you can get to sleep quicker than you would normally because

I'm a big advocate of white noise for sleeping and found this unit after being daunted by all the really expensive ($100 plus) 'sound machines' out there. Apart from the fact that fresh batteries only lasted about two weeks (I now run it using the power cord) I really like this machine and it has helped me to get better quality of sleep - which in turn improves everything else about my life...and my outlook ON life! My one wish is that this product would be a little easier to find here on the Best Buy site (I had to try about three different things to find the listing so I could write this review). But other than that, this little $20 investment gets a big thumbs up from me!
