I bought this game to just check it out, the graphics are great and it has a good story line. Just trying something different.

Loved this story but I had to restart my PS3 because the game would freeze. The story could have been a lot longer as well.

I am hooked on this game from the get go. I started playing this game on ps3 and my son is also hooked. must give this a shot.

This is a fun game but you have to work at it. Good game for under ten bucks.

The game's story sets it a part, but the game mechanics are very bland.

Homefront is a short game, around 4-5 hours for the single player campaign. The ending was also abrupt, as though this game was merely a teaser for a sequel. What you do experience during the campaign is quite interesting though, in terms of the setting. The multiplayer is a lot of fun, a mix of the run and gun style of Call of Duty with the big maps and vehicles of Battlefield. Two things that you need to know: 1) Online pass is required to level up beyond Level 5 in multiplayer... although you can still continue to play, you won't be able to unlock many of the weapons and vehicles to use. If you're buying a used copy of Homefront, you will probably need to acquire the online pass separately. 2# Currently #as of March/April 2013# the servers are down, most likely due to the transition between THQ #which went bankrupt# and Crytek #which bought the rights to the Homefront series). It is unknown when they will be back up, if ever. This means effectively that there is no online multiplayer right now, although you can still host private matches.

Good to have in your collection. I really enjoyed the game.

My son plays the game and tends to like it. When watching him, it seems to be not so gruesome. However, he is required to play all games with little blood, he must have volume turned off in case there are curse words or gruesome sounds. Our son is not a big gamer to begin with, but when his Uncle comes in town he likes to play PS3 with him.
