If you ever wanted to play Red Dawn: The Video game, this is the closest you're sadly ever going to get. Decent ideas and game mechanics cannot save this game from a bevy of technical issues. I really wanted to love this game, but I cannot recommend it unless you are ok with it's flaws from the get go.

Be sure to download the patches for the game, because the game was virtually unplayable before them. This game is very rough around the edges, but once you get the hang of the gameplay and mechanics, you get addicted to completing each section and liberating Philly!

Personally I like more straightforward games that dont have all these extra side missions and just keeps it to one really good main mission story. Thats how the first one was and it was great. This new one has too much other stuff going on which may be great to others but not for me.

Overall it has been a great game plus it came with the steel book as well as the day 1 edition dlc and for the price it is at its perfect.

I'm a collector and I love collecting steel books. When I heard Best Buy had an exclusive for Homefront, it was a must buy! And with the Gamer's Club price, I couldn't resist.

Overall, the game is just alright. It's not amazing, but it's also not horrible. I got this because I liked the first one and because of the exclusive steelbook casing for it.

I expected this game to very similar To the original Homefront just a different enemy but was surprised that it was drastically different in the best way possible

Don't let early reviews of the game dissuade you. The devs have fixed most of the issues...just be sure to download the latest updates.

This game had some decent ideas. It isn't your typical FPS and isn't like the original Homefront. This is more open world. It takes elements from the Far Cry series, where you take over "outposts" and other areas to gain control. Side missions to complete, etc. The story is ok at best, the gameplay leaves a lot to be desired, and the graphics are meh for 2016 standards. The worst thing about it, is it is extremely buggy. Lots of annoying little bugs and glitches you can encounter. Some that may force you to quit the game and restart. Some were game breaking until recent patches. Just an average game at best, and only buy if you are obsessed with FPS.

I remember when this game came out it got a lot of hate. But after quite a few patches the game is alright and even pretty fun here or there to play. If you can grab it cheap you will be able to get your moneys worth out of it.

Steelbook Day 1 edition for $10? Doesn't matter how bad the game actually reviews, that's not a bad price for a sandbox game! Just waiting on the season pass to drop and then it might turn out to be a decent game, after all.

The game sucked but for 7.99 you can't beat the price.

Got the steelbook limited edition. Game seems to be repetitive but im still playing the main story. I have not tried the online part of the game yet.

yes this game has some bugs but they fixed alot and if you can get it on sale its worth the money and the play through.

this game has a very good story line to it, very good graphics and great game play.

Graphics are actually really nice. But the shooting is broken. Good luck hitting anything. Melee attacks are the only real effective thing in the game. Kind of a problem for an FPS....

This one is even better. Worth playing. Recommend to all. The first home front I played was excellent.

Whoa, finally a game where you can be the good guys and liquidate commies. I highly recommend this game to anyone who considers themselves a Patriot, love it. love it love it! Now all we need is a game where you can be the Nationalists and fight the Globalists and International Zionism, that would be even more amazing, but in the meantime this is one of the best games out there.
