Pros: Easy to set up. Produces a lot of cold air. Cons: Fan is loud, even on low, but masks the compressor noise. Makes a whining sound. I found it too annoying. Remote has very limited range. Wheels go front/back no sideways.

I just bought it but like this unit; it's easy to set the target temperature, blows cold air, reduces humidity quickly, and typically doesn't require emptying water out. It serves as a fan, humidifier, or A/C unit. It has a five year part and one year labor warranty so they expect it to last for awhile. I bought an inexpensive window A/C 2 years ago to keep my bedroom colder than the whole house at night. It lasted a year and a half. Kind of hurt my back getting it in and out, this portable unit seems like a better option for four months/year of use (it will roll into the closet for storage). I won't awake to the rain pounding on the the window unit during storms. Here are a few cautions though- 1) it needs to sit 20" from a wall for air flow, 2) it's hot air vent duct to the window will only bend so much, so your going to have keep it within a couple feet of a window, 3) remote only operation- don't lose the remote, 4) the manual cautions that it will turn off if water pan fills (typically only in extreme humidity conditions), if this happens you need to set a cake pan under it and open a drain line 5) the vent duct snaps into a plastic window slider that fits under your window sash. I have 42" wide windows, the slider's max. length is about 36", I had to make a vent holder using a 42"x1"x6" board. The original vent holder slider uses two cheapo snaps but there are no holes on one side of the slider so you can't use the second snap as instructed in the manual. This isn't a big deal but I was hoping for a little higher quality of slider for this price (although I consider the unit and vent duct fairly high quality). Considering the cautions, don't let me talk you out of this unit. It works great and I would buy it again.

I bought this AC mainly due to the size. It fits perfectly in my office under my desk, and keeps the room perfect. I did have to find a special vent due to my office not having windows, but this kit came with everything needed if you have a window available. I absolutely love this AC unit!

I have never thought these would be very effective, but to my surprise, it does work, although slowly in very hot temperatures (which were the only times we used it). It is easy to set up and it is quieter than I expected. We did not have to drain the water.

Big unit for my small room but very happy with it. It is somewhat loud but it actually lulls me to sleep, no rattles or bangs while running. It cools my room quickly and removes the humidity. Great not having to empty a bucket or run a hose outside. The window "attachment" is super easy to place but I did add some foam insulation pieces for an airtight fit in my window. Can remove it easily if I want window open which is impossible with a window unit.

Our A/C unit for our second floor went out and we needed a quick fix until the needed repair part arrived. The unit was a white one and not a black unit as described here. It did a nice job of cooling our bedroom. It wasn't exactly quiet, but it did a nice job of cooling our bedroom.

Very noisy, have to increase the volume way up on the TV to hear it when using the AC.... Not good when you live in an apt at night time watching TV.. The connecting exhaust hose between the AC and the windows locks in place very well, compared with other brands..

A wonderful piece of equipment. Not quite as attractive as some other portable air conditioners I'm familiar with, but it's equally effective.

I messed up my back this spring, so my wife insisted that we get portable a/cs instead of window units. Did a fair amount of homework and accepted the fact that portables just aren't as efficient as window units, but had little choice. Several review sites listed Honeywells as decent units and the 5 year parts and labor warranty, as well as the fact that this unit draws about an amp less current as a comparable Frigidaire, made me order it (not available in Best Buy stores). Just to cover our bases, we also ordered a Frigidaire portable unit. We put the Frigidaire in my wife's office and the Honeywell in our bedroom. There was no comparison. The Frigidaire, on low, had my wife talking about how cold it was in her office. The Honeywell, on the other hand, in the heat of a 90 degree afternoon, on high, could do no better than about 77-78 degrees, shades drawn, room dark. The unit is rated for a 250 square foot room, our bedroom is about 150 square feet and unless you were standing within about 2 feet of the unit, you couldn't feel any cold air. We returned the Honeywell (an easy return, thankfully) and replaced it with another Frigidaire and we are satisfied.

Easy to put together. Good cooling power. Just as good as a window air conditioner. Has a light that tells you if the condensation drain need to be empty. Nice features and easy to use.

It's to time consuming to move room to room because it needs venting to the outside, Noisy have to have the TV or music volume up much higher and disturbs others in the house. Not energy efficient. Plan to return to store.

We are using the air conditioner in our living room. It is working fine but would work much better in a smaller area.

Love this. Easy set up, works great. Much more powerful than any window unit i've ever had.

Purchased the unit for a very small room. Did a poor job of cooling. Vent is not adjustable so you cannot change it's direction

ordered online first part of June 2016. By middle of July 2016 when the temp was over 90 degrees unit would not keep 100sq foot room under 80 degrees. Because not an Elite or special customer of Best Buy only had 15 days to take back, not the 30 or 45 or even 60 for a wedding present. Stuck with a $355 unit that can only be used on days under 90 degrees. Very un happy with Best Buy. Will think long an hard if I ever shop with them again. Being only a regular customer.

I've tried other portable air conditioners but this one does not need to empty water dispenser which is a great advantage.

Ok so I finally go to use this the remote don’t work changed batteries everything, the kicker is you have to have the remote to change 3 speeds it has and between fan, air conditioner,and humidifier. It only has the main power button on the device it’s self there for it’s stuck on air conditioner with whatever speed it’s on . Not cool at all folks.

Cools my room in a matter of minutes it's light to move
