It does a good job quickly cooling my bedroom but it is louder than I expected. Did a lot of research and read that the Honeywell products are one of the quieter portable A/Cs so was expecting it to be less loud. On the positive side it was pretty easy to install the window accessories and no draining the condensation required.

Had this A/C unit for a year now and had no problems yet. I use it for the master bedroom and this is why I went with a 450sq ft instead of 350. I pay a little extra also because it comes with dehumidifier but glad I did with these hot summer days in SoCal. Cons- a little too loud when have it on cold mode. Would Buy again.

I think the only downfall about this AC is that it literally has to be right in front of a window. The hose doesn’t extend or bend too much so you’re pretty limited as to where it could go. My bed is right in front of my window. So I have the unit off to the side, but it was a bit of a hastle messing with & bending the hose so that it was installed properly (because the hose has to be set up a certain way) but other than that, it works great! I love the feature it has where it won’t turn on if it needs to be drained. You don’t have to worry as to when it needs to be done, because the AC will just tell you when. My bedroom is also on the bigger side & this unit cools it down quick. Not too loud either!

Well it's actually a 350 sq ft and says so on the box. No where else does it mention 398 sq ft except in the ad. It also doesn't have a purify setting like it is mentioned in the advertising. Other than that, it cools fine for small rooms. I have had it running in our master bedroom for 14 hours now, it started at 79 degrees yesterday evening and this morning the room was down to 73 but has gone up to 74 now around noon. It's on its highest cool setting and still not enough for our 250 sq ft room, with black out shades on windows and insulation over our patio doors. I could see where this would be really useful in an office a small shop or small bedroom. Its quiet, it does blow cold, works for what it is but wish they advertised it correctly. Really was hoping for the purification setting it says it has.

bought this not expecting miracles. Unit consistently keeps temp anout 10 degrees cooler than current temperature running on high example if room is 90 degrees will cool to about 80

We have casement windows and a vaulted ceiling in our bedroom so traditional window unit and central air are out of the question. Having just moved to our new home from one with central air, trying to survive the first heat wave of the summer was challenging. We purchased this portable AC unit in the evening and were able to get it installed easily and the room was cool enough by bedtime to allow us to sleep. Highly recommend this product.

i did a lot of research on different portable air conditioners. I have had a few in the past and really like that they are easy to set up and use. I didn't want to add central air since we don't get to many hot days. But we do get a Indian summer and can have a week or more of high temps. I didn't want to be miserable again this year. I love the curbside pickup that Best Buy offers, The set up of this unit was very easy. The unit isn't too loud but isn't quiet either. But doesn't bother me. It does work quickly to cool but I wish the air vent was larger. Other then that I really like it,

Great portability and minimal noise. Keeps a 12x12 room nice and cool. Price is also reasonable and set-up was painless. Highly Recommend.

I recently purchased the Honeywell - 10,000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner for its easy set up and high ratings, though the only thing that's concerned me about it was that it's never reached its temperature, though perhaps it was purchased during the summer but over all it kept the room cold enough without complaints and I love it because it's easy to remove and transfer to another room

I cannot begin to tell you how awesome this thing is!! I bought it last year right at the start of that crazy August heatwave we had here in California because the fan and open windows weren't cutting it anymore. I'm glad I got it because a few days after I did, the heatwave got worse. Aside from its bulkiness, this unit is pretty easy to use and set up. A medium sized room will get cold really fast. I can't speak on the other two features as I've only used the AC portion, but so far so good!

Using this in a somewhat small room (about 10x10) and it works pretty well. Only issue was it was missing one of the little things to hold the window pieces together but otherwise, it cools the room down quite a bit. It does take some time to get the temp down but from the moment I turn it on it does start to feel better. As far as noise, I would say it's not super quiet but also not super loud.

This AC unit is great because it’s portable and does cool off the room nicely. Downside is it needs quite a bit of clearance behind the unit per recommendation 2-3ft. For the price I expected a little bit more from the unit but it’s still good. Go for the larger cooling unit (more than 450 sq ft) if you’re debating between the two.

Excellent option for those who rent and live in a house where window units would damage the frame. Does take up a small amount of space in the room. Remote control is a nice feature. Does tend to run a bit louder than previous window units I've used in the past. Keeps our upstairs comfortable but an expectation of icy cool is stretching it. Happy with this purchase.

This AC unit is wonderful! I had a small window unit in my bedroom before I picked up this one. The previous unit was a 10,000 BTU fridgidaire window unit. It was AWEFUL! It could not cool the room correctly, allowed hot air and bugs to get in. The unit wound up getting moldy from the excess moisture. I bought the Honey Well 12,000 BTU unit for my 500 sq ft sitting room last year. It is WONDERFUL! It keeps my room cool, doesn't have to be turned down past a normal room temperature, doesn't cause moisture in the air, doesn't allow bugs and heat to get into the room, is not bulky, and best of all, easy to install and uninstall if need be. Knowing that this product would be great for my bedroom, I purchased the 10,000 BTU for my bedroom. I LOVE it even more than the one in my sittingroom! I can turn it down and direct the air so that it hits me directly while I am sleeping or turn it up so that it hits the ceiling fan and causes it to move the air through the entire room. I REALLY like Honeywell over all. I actually purchased a Honeywell fan for my office years ago and it is still my favorite fan!

The AC effectively cools down a bedroom of approximately 200 Sq. Ft. We use it intermittently when the heat gets too uncomfortable. No issues as of yet, however, it is somewhat noisy. Overall, I'm very satisfied.

Bought this for my parents' house after their main level reached 96 degrees one day (they don't have central AC). Set it up in less than 15 minutes and it cooled their living room down by 10 degrees in about 20 minutes or so. Liked it so well, we bought a second unit for my son's room in our house. It's a much smaller space, but he can get the temperature down around 67 degrees in about 15 minutes. Very simple to set up and seems to do a great job so far.

I would rate this slightly about average. The price was great, relative to competitors. We use this to cool a bedroom, and it does a good job of taking the edge off the heat. Definitely cools it down enough to sleep. I like it like an ice box, so I may be asking too much. But it does the job. My chief criticism is that it is too loud. Seemed quiet enough in the store, but when trying to sleep, it is just a bit too loud. I've slept with the hum of AC's before -- and actually, that can help me sleep. But the noise of this one is above a hum. In fairness, it my bed were further away from the unit, maybe it would be quieter. Otherwise, no complaints. It's pretty easy to set up. I wish the air vent tube fit better, but you can get it in there. It's convenient that we don't have to empty the water. We do it once a week, but it is so little volume, it's prob not even necessary.

So my local Best Buy did a nice discount by price matching their online price. Made it worth it to get the larger unit. This one also had the evap. built into the exhaust so no water bucket to empty. The hose and window adapter was real simple to attach and run. Nice semi-rigid hose. I figured buying the larger unit I wouldn't have to run it as hard to get the same cooling as a smaller one and it might be less noisy for a bedroom. Not the case. I wouldn't say it's real noisy but still not so quiet. I guess it's just good white noise. One kind of big issue is that the exhaust hose gets pretty warm from the evap. unit. Adds more heat to the room as it's cooling. Also, I think the air going into the room should be colder. It's just cool, but that might be common to most newer generation A/Cs. Oh well. At least it was a good deal.

Does a great job cooling off the large bedroom & more in the apartment. Easily moves too from one area to another if needed. Glad we found this at Best Buy. Wow! Love this product. After summer, just roll it into storage closet!!

Bought this for a 350 sq ft space and it’s excellent! Cooled off the room on a 90 degree day in 15 minutes and kept it at temp. Ran the fan afterwards and it circulated the air really well. It is a bit loud but I can always raise the tv volume :) The need for a cold room far exceeds noise level during these high heat days! Highly recommended
