With the code or key, this will not stay locked. I have had this for less than 5 months. The knob turns to unlock regardless of the key in the locked position or if I purposely put in the code wrong. Nothing keeps it locked. This is worthless now. After researching the reviews of this item on other sites, this is somewhat of a common problem. Complete waste of money

This unit is not currently functional. I’ve had this for just about a month. Not even the backup key could open it. Had to resort to other means of securing valuables.

Within the first 4 months the keypad stopped working and the lock no longer turns. You can lock and unlock it without using a code, you just turn the knob. Definitely does not give us peace of mind since we have kids.
