I absolutely love this evaporated air cooler from Honeywell! I received the unit on a 90 degree day when my daughter decided to bake a cake at mid afternoon in Texas and was very pleased to find that it cooled the kitchen very quickly with the oven on. The ice in the top of the unit is a great feature and works fast. The ease of setup was also a plus as I could use it right away and all features were easy to use and understand. The remote is handy, the rolling casters are even better so you can direct the unit or even move it from room to room very easily. This cooler is very user friendly on fan or cool mode. The blower is powerful and the unit is not heavy when you want to move it around. I love it! The price at Best Buy was comparable to other sellers and I got free shipping to my house and the unit arrived three days before the advertised delivery date. I am very happy with my purchase!

We ordered this to keep our basement cool during the summer months and it works famously! It's extremely large and somewhat noisy, but nothing to extreme. When it's full of water it's kind of difficult to move around but again, not a deal breaker by any means. It's on wheels so you just have to give it a bit of a shove to get it from place to place. We considered springing for the more expensive units that are double the price of this one but we are thrilled we went the cheaper route as this machine works great at half the price. It doesn't look as sleek and fancy as the others but who cares if it works great, and it does!!!!

I wanted to cool a room without an air conditioner that had to be placed in a windowsill or be connected to a vent to one (much less without the energy costs). So I opted for this, what is also known as a "swamp cooler." It is not super huge, the fan on it is strong, and it can oscillate, which is nice. Adding water to it makes a slight difference, but not much. Adding ice increases the slight difference just a bit. It is pretty loud for what it is, so if you want to use it when you are sleeping, that might be a problem. I have not been able to try it when it is really hot as I received it at the tail end of the recent heat wave. The price is decent when you can get it on sale, the energy consumption is good, and it can be used outside as well. It would have been great if it had a heating element to it as well so it can be used in the winter like other devices. If you really want to cool down and maybe feel a little cold, this is not the device for you.

I liked this item because it does not require adding a hose to vent through the window. However it does require placing the cooler in front of an open window or door. If you are only using the humidifier you don’t need an open window or door to operate.

Thought this would cool a little better. It is loud and helps cool a little.

The product worked, and some of the other reviews warned it didn't meet their cooling needs. I agree, used it for a small bedroom on a warm LA summer night - the unit was fairly noisy but our biggest issue was it just didn't cool the room down enough.

We thought it would be a great item but unfortunately it started leaking the water. We contacted Honeywell and they recommended we return it to the place of purchase, which we did and Best Buy was very good about it and we thank BB for that.

If you live in a very dry place, the evaporative cooler is the perfect solution for hot days. Cheap to run, easy to move, all you need is water and it cools down a room quickly and efficiently. Not as chilling as an air conditioner, of course, but plenty good if you just want to take the curse off the heat--not run around in turtlenecks in summer. And it's way more portable than a so-called portable AC unit. LOVE it!

I've got to say I was more impressed with this than I thought I would be. It's definitely not a substitute for an AC, but it definitely provides a much more comfortable atmosphere than having a fan!

I very happy with the cooler. It’s nice to be able to use it as an evaporative cooler and also as just a fan. I especially like how quiet the unit is.

The fan is wonderful. However you have to keep an outside door/window open or the whole room gets damp. If you are ok with that, it would be worth a try. The fan on it is really nice. We ended up returning this for a portable air conditioner.

Our A/C went out in a small office at work. They were desperate so I ordered this unit online from Best Buy. Apparently it cools their small office better than the regular A/C. I have since purchased two more just like it for other areas at work.

Makes working from home much more comfortable and saves on using the air conditioner 24/7. Easy to use, quiet and the remote is a bonus I can’t live without.

Tried two days in a row. does not cool the room (10 x 14) even one degree

My only regret with this evaporative cooler is that I didn't order it a few months earlier! The cooling for my bedroom is fantastic. It is quick to cool and works in both fan and evaporative cooler modes. Definitely a "best buy"!

it makes our room cool even just with level 1. it does what it says it does. COOL!

Doesn't work very good, and without an air conditioner it is super hot.

It was great blowing cool air but the back of the machine was blowing warm air so I returned it

If you add more ice into the water,it gonna be cool more.I like it

The machine is quite and works best in a small room or bedroom. Does add a bit of moisture to the air as the unit runs on water.
