My last Honeywell portable AC was about 3 years old and for some unknown reason, filled with mold, clogged, and flooded my bedroom. That thing was huge, loud, and could barely keep it below 90 when it's 110 out. This one is much better. It's quiet, it drains properly, and it keeps the temperature around 84 when it's 110. The room I'm in is in a very old house with a "swamp cooler" (that I don't even bother turning on) that isn't really insulated, and the windows slide to the side so this type of AC is the only option. Got it through the progressive leasing option so I can pay for it over 3 months! I have it plugged into a Gosund smart outlet plug so I can turn it off and on through my phone to make sure the room is nice and cold when I get home from work!

I have suffered through numerous summers with only fans for cooling. Not a wonderful situation in sunny California. This year I decided I could not stand it anymore. After doing some research I settled on this Honeywell air conditioner. Why did I wait so long??? Super easy to install, the piece for the window fits perfectly in my slider windows, and it cools off my combined living room and kitchen easily. I have it set at 75 and once it cooled off the room it has kept the room within 2 degrees of 75 - despite the high heat we've had over the past week. It even carries into my bedroom - not enough to cool the room down but enough to keep it comfortable enough to sleep in using only an air circulator.

Great unit for the price. Easy to install and operate. Relatively quiet operation for a stand alone unit. Does a good job at cooling down rooms.

Easy to instal and get it running. I installed it in my bedroom. My only problem is wish it had a way to deflect the air lower. I can feel the cool air while standing up but takes a while to feel while laying down. It doesn't seem to get as cold as I expected but it does feel cooler at night.

This portable air conditioner works well and is fairly quiet. It is a little heavy to move around, but has wheels to make it easier.

I was tired of always having to mount and dismount the AC every season, so I decided to switch to a portable unit. Got a decent deal and haven't looked back. Easy to move from room to room and remote has a LCD display that takes out all the guess work. Haven't tried the dehumidifier function yet (wasn't expecting it) but will use it when the time comes. Air directed upwords and chills the room fairly quick (can't direct vents any other direction). If your looking for a portable AC unit, I would highly recommend trying this one out.

I picked up this gem of a unit as an emergency due to my home central ac burning a compressor and needless to say a new central had to be ordered so a few days were going to go by miserably with 95+ temps. Susprisingly this portable was able to be installed quite easily into my living room area and brought my home's temp down from 79 to 75 and kept it there thru the next few days. It was worth every penny and it's portability makes its future uses open to alot of possibilities. 5 star product.

This ac unit is great and easy to use. Cools the room quickly. The remote is the only drawback for me. There is no backlight on the remote so when you go to use it in a dark room, you can't see what you're setting it to.

i needed to cool a finished attic and the windows in the attic were small. It was either I install 3 5000btu window ac units or spend the money on this monster. I expected that even this 12000btu unit wouldn't be able to fight summer heat, but at least it makes the room somewhat comfortable mid-day. When I come home from work at 6pm, i turn it on and by 8pm, the attic is very comfortable for me to relax and play video games.

I bought this to replace a broken 10 year old system, not a Honeywell. I was constantly having to drain the water, sometimes several times an hour. This new Honeywell is designed to minimize ever having to drain the water. I have yet needed to drain the water since my purchase over a month ago. I am impressed with the design and easy installation of the Honeywell. I would recommend it to my family and friends.

We have a guest bedroom that is at the end of the central A/C system and it is difficult to keep it cool. There is no air return and with the door closed, there is little cool airflow into the room. I inquired about installing a dedicated split system and was told it would run about $3000. The AC tech suggested I just get one these portable units and try it. So far it is performing very well. The exhaust vent has to be installed in a window, and since it is a ground floor room, it requires adding security stops to the window to keep it from being opened from outside. It is not too loud when it is running, It takes up more space in the bedroom than I would like, mostly due to the large exhaust duct on the back. But it performs very well.

So far this Portable Air Conditioner has been a life saver! It cools the main part of our home with ease. It's really quiet compared to our other window air conditioners we have in our bedrooms. It was really easy to set up. We haven't had to empty the water out yet so I'll update later if I have difficulties but don't expect any. An additional plus is that it looks nice & clean! *** Something that I really liked is the window extension that it comes with was actually wide enough to completely go across the full width of the window. Our living room windows are quiet large.

If you want a portable A/C unit that cools well and is quiet this is a very good choice. It fits in the window with a low profile look. Easy to setup

The slider to hold it in the window constantly falls out but once you get it in for a bit it works quite well. A bit loud but I’ll take noise over having to suffer in the heat anytime. So, I would recommend. Looks good, works well. Just wish the remote control had a longer range.

I live in a three-bedroom apartment my central AC unit went out. The property manager allow me to go purchase 3 Portable units, I love the efficiency of the units(2- 12,000 & 1- 10,000). I went to Home Depot, and Lowe's they didn't have (3)units with the BTUS I needed. I went to Best Buy and scored (3 )units one stop shopping. The units were it to install, they all come with remote controls and automatic warning light when it's time to drain the water. They are quiet and can be put on automatic so I can save on my utility bill.

Bought this when home AC failed on a weekend when temp was 98 and humidity about the same. We used it in our bedroom, about 400 sf, so we could sleep. Worked great. I had to get up at night to adjust the temp up as it got too cold! Brought that room from 90f to 72f in about 2 hours. Saved the day until house AC was fixed. I’ll keep it in the basement for next time - it was worth the $600 to be able to sleep at home and not have to go to a hotel. Works surprisingly well for its small size and is not too loud to sleep.

Owned for approx 1 month. Have had 3-4 portable AC units in my life. Last one gave out and replaced with this Honeywell. Never owned a Honeywell but saw other good reviews. No noticeable water buildup but I live in desert climate. Nice and quiet for sleeping! When placed on high fan there is no noticeable noise level change with condenser on and off, even when placed right next to the bed. Keeps the room nice and cool throughout the night. Cools room in less than 15 minutes. Happy with the purchase.

Easy setup and operation. We had it running in under 10 minutes. Cooled the room fast and the noise level is quite acceptable.

My home is so hot in the summer time and instead of spending more money we purchase the portable air conditioner closed all the house windows and in less then 30min our entire up stairs was cooled down. Additionally it is portable which makes it that much more convenient I am able to move it from my bedroom to my front room and the vent it also very easy to assemble. Highly recommend.
