I turned it in and there is a loud grinding noise. I removed the lower filter to take a look. There is a small motor that is squealing horribly. Also a large portion in the cooling fins are damaged. Had to be assembled this way Since the box was completely undamaged . Will be calling tomorrow for replacement unit or refund. Very disappointing.

Sometimes, due to their weight, these portable air conditioners can get hurt during transit, which might explain why the cooling fins were damaged and there was a peculiar noise. Our units are covered by a 1-year limited warranty which means you could be eligible for a replacement/warranty exchange if the unit is found to be manufactured defective and was purchased new.

Like the remote, adjustable temperature and the fact I can set it in the morning and it will be in Fan mode until the temp in room reaches the level I set and the air kicks in....rather easy, I must say!

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Albeit I wanted an airconditioner that could cool a space with challenging conditions, the Honeywell I purchased was utterly anemic despite its 14,000 BTU capacity. I returned it immediately replacing it with a 10,000 BTU casement unit made by Figedere. Now my space is cool, and super comfortable. Do Not waste your time on the Honeywell portable unit. It does NOT cool!!!

Posted .We are sorry to hear this and wish you had contacted us before returning the unit ! Our units work best in enclosed, well insulated spaces. Room environment conditions such as ceiling height, sunlight, number of windows/ doors and level of insulation can affect cooling efficiency and there are ways to increase the capacity of these units. There could be other reasons for the unit to not cool- temperature setting could be too high, or the exhaust hose may need re-installation to avoid the heat from coming back into the room.
