Unclear instructions, but it does the job!

The directions stated that the hose and connector pieces were already preassembled but they weren’t. I included a pic from the instructions. So we had to figure out how to assemble them. Wasn’t too difficult. The window pieces came in two pieces and it wasn’t explained how to keep them together. We have a vertical sliding window. I managed to deduce using the wing nut pieces that were included, but wasn’t in the parts description or listed in the installation kit in the directions. I also included a pic of this. Just wish the instructions were more clear. Shipping and Delivery was delayed, which was very frustrating. Overall, it provided much needed relief from the heat during an unprecedented heat wave in the PNW. It blew out cold air and cooled our large living room considerably. Didn’t use any of the other modes other than the high AC option, so I can’t speak on how well they work. I can say it is rather loud, but when you’re just trying to cool off, does it really matter? lol

We've had this unit for a couple of years now and it is still going strong. Cools our living are without having to crank the central unit way down. The only downside is that it is a little loud if it's next to the television and the window/exhaust adapter could have been longer.

Doesn’t cool off the entire square footage of the area I want and that it states. Also the hose is very hard to attach and the brackets do not fit an average window

Unit not functional immediately after arrival

I have had the unit for just under 48 hours and am no longer comfortable letting it run. I chose this unit because it should have been powerful enough to keep the main three rooms in my house (~130 sq ft each) from overheating.
Immediately upon turning the unit on, it started making a sharp and rhythmic squealing. After unhooking the exhaust hose to investigate, the sound was caused by the flywheel driving the exhaust wobbling and occasionally rubbing against an interior wall. At first I thought I could live with this by moving it to the central room that we don't spend much time in, as the noise didn't travel far. But after letting it run for a couple of hours yesterday and some overnight, I discovered that it's constantly leaking water out of the bottom (not the drain holes, which are appropriately plugged). And I can't open up the housing without voiding the warranty.
I don't know if I got a lemon, it was damaged in transit, or if this is a defect of the entire line.

Disappointed. I had the same problem as another reviewer. Noisy unit and water leaked all over when both drains were closed tightly. On a positive note: it did cool the room sufficiently.

It works wonderfully and keeps the whole apartment cool and doesn't run the electric bill through the roof. The only complaint I have so far it the exhaust hose is hard to attach and tends to fall off an the window adaptor is plastic junk. I would have been happy to pay a little more if it had better hardware

A decent AC for our garage. I had a little trouble with the way it runs at first, but then it continued to keep us cool.

A little noisy, but understandable considering it’s doing a great job keeping my entire living room and kitchen area cool during record breaking 109 degree heat.

Have had this unit for months and have wondered why it is constantly leaking all over my floor. The water comes out of the bottom and we are constantly having to drain it. We can’t even leave it on over night without it soaking our living room carpet. Looks like many have been having this same issue. I would not recommend this product to anyone. With the price of this I should not have the problem at that we have with it. Very disappointing.

I made this purchase crossing my fingers , since my last few on line orders didnt go too well.
I am older and didnt want the hassle of removing an window air conditioner in the winter so I decided to try a portable. I decided to go with this model since Honeywell has produced great products in the past that i eas pleased with
I had made some online purchases from Hisense that did not work and had to be replaced 3 times in 9 months. I decided to go with Honeywell who made this product in Canada , no chance of bad Chinese parts like on the prior model I bought at lowes .
I love this unit. Dehumidifiers really well and cools with the advantage of not having to remove from the window. My only issue with this unit is that the bottom drain is so close to the ground you cant get a decent drain pan under it....so to solve that issue , I made a small wood stand out of used 2 x4 s and 1 inch plywood i had lying around and made the stand about 7 inches from the ground . Now i can slide a baking pan under it to collect any water while draining

Terrible. Needs to be drained constantly. Shuts off automatically every hour. We bought it to cool a single room with our dog, but can't trust to leave him there since the AC unit shuts off at random (usually short) intervals and the room gets hot.
We bought a smaller Honeywell unit last year and loved it. That model was not available this year so we spent more money buying this hunk of junk.

DO NOT BUY THIS AC. This is the worst appliance I have ever purchased. I spent over $600 for this AC and it leaked all over my apartment ruining my furniture and rugs. You have to constantly empty the water and it will only run for 30 minutes at a time. Do NOT buy this product.

Constantly fills up with water. Constantly needs to be drained. Because of all of the water, visible mold is growing on the inside of the machine and the air flap. Says it cools 700sqft but can barely keep a small bedroom cool in hot temperatures. This is the worst portable air conditioner I’ve ever had.

Run well for 2 days then began leaking water all over the floor. Unit shutdown due to needing to be drained. I drained 2 times in the middle of the night. Still leaked and shutdown. I tried to use the humidifier hose but that did not help. I was told evaporator must not be working correctly so product was returned.

Used this product for a month before it broke down and started throwing shards of plastic out of the hose. Contacted the customer support for which I had sent in pictures of the defective device and they indicated they would issue me a full refund. That was two weeks ago. Still waiting for a response from them.
