It works as promised and is really quiet. It was easy to assemble and the remote is a great addition. I use this to sleep and sometimes, I have to adjust the speed and not having to get out of bed is great. It is super super quiet. Only issue, which is isn't a big one, is when it oscillates, there is a squeak. I cannot find where to put something to make it stop, so we don't use it anymore.

I was trying to cool my desk in an open warehouse area. It works really well. If you need a fan for white noise, there is a setting for that. But, I found that even at the fastest setting it moves a lot of air while remaining nearly silent. The remoste is a nice touch - it also has a timer, so if you are using it in the bedroom, you can set it to shut off automatically. Set up out of the box took about five minutes. Well done. Highly recommend it.

It comes with a remote no batteries. The only thing I would criticize is the fan staying tall once lifted it tends to fall down to original height. You have 5 levels of speed and can change the timer for the fan on the remote and fan. Easy to clean with a simple duster.
