Pressing Hi and Lo will make it be constantly on but it doesnt mean the temperature is active. You have to select either mode then press up and down on the temperature setting, to activate it. In my mind it should activate the temperature feature since the panel shows the Hi/Lo is tied to it

It was in my son room and he would only use it at night. When it was working it did blow at a high temp. and heated up really quickly.
