I thought I was making a great purchase. First the best buy had no clue where these were located. And then there wasn't a price listed for this model. It was just on the shelf in another products area. Upon bringing the unit home I swapped it out with my old Honeywell. The paper directions weren't helpful as the wiring diagram are limited as with the online demo. I contacted support and they instructed me with the wrong wiring. It blew my transformer which cost me $285 for a service. The tech then moved a couple wires to the correct position and it worked fine. So this turned out to cost me $335 thanks to honeywell. I then attempted to set up a wifi connection. Apparently it only connects to older encryption technology that is less secure than current recommended standards. It will not connect to my network and I don't think I should have to decrease my security just because they failed to make it have current wifi capabilities. My only solution to set up a 2nd less secure router or down grade which I won't do. The units wifi software is pretty limited also. Should be able to connect and change all settings via wifi. Can only view current temps and adjust the basic fan and temp settings. You also have to connect to the units wifi to set up its wifi. Should be able to do that on the face plate and search for wifi there without a computer. Bottom line is get a different one like Nest. You get below par software and outdated wifi capabilities where you are forced to expose your home security to connect the unit. Not buying this brand ever again.

I bought this as a Christmas gift. I do not know when the item will be installed. I can say that my parent were happy that they do not have to walk down the stairs to adjust the thermostat. That's less wear and tear on their bad knees.

I've had this thermostat for a month now with no issues what so ever. Very easy install and set up. I love the wifi feature, I can adjust it from anywhere with my phone. I would definitely recommend this thermostat!!

I would recommend it to anyone looking to replace their current unit.
