Or Warm Thermostat, depending on what time of year it is. Very easy to install. I replaced two 13 year-old Honeywell programmable thermostats with two of these, so that helped simplify the process. Setup is straightforward. The system walks you through connecting to Wi-Fi and creating an account with Honeywell. I also have them connected to a Wink Hub, which is nice, but I prefer controlling them with the Honeywell app since it gives you way more control over the functions.

We already have the little brother to this thermostat in our home in MN Going to put this one in our home in AZ had an earlier model of the same one before & LOVED it turned the house on from "resting" temp to 70 & walked in to nice & cool without paying killer bills all year. The app is super simple & gets better with each update. NO complaints here like it better than nest.

Having the app for my phone works great. You can also access the thermostat via computer which also works well,. I like the random fan feature so you can circulate the air at random intervals - keeps the air moving without having to be on 100% of the time. Overall, a very good product.

Thermostat is perfect. Looks good. Very easy to install and operate. I have very old 1920's wiring and it only took a matter of minutes.

Directions are easy to follow. Thermostat is easy to set up. I like being able to adjust from my phone if I need to. Great product!

Makes changing the temp really easy. saves me tons on my bill by learning my schedule and adjusting the temp when im not there!!

Bought this to replace an older thermostat and so far couldn't be happier with the purchase. Being able to control it with my smartphone is off the charts convenient. It's pretty cool that you can change the background screen color too. Also there are plenty of videos you can find online to help with installation of any setup questions you might have. I looked at the Nest thermostat too and it was pretty cool but this one was cheaper and seemed (to me at least) to be a bit more intuitive to operate.

This thermostat is great! I went from a Nest to this and have to say it is great to use. The only downside to this compared to the nest, when you have a schedule set up and you temporarily manually change the setting, it does not bounce back automatically at the next scheduled setting.

Great buy for saving money on your electric. Perfect for auto programming your daily/weekly schedule to auto correct the temperature, or if you are out and about and forget to turn the air up you can change it on your iphone with a simple click.

The online instructions were very thorough in explaining the installation procedures. The C wire was not connected on my previous thermostat but fortunately the wire was running from the heating/cooling unit to the old thermostat. Therefore I just connected it to the common terminal on furnace and I was ready to install. My previous thermostat was connected to an electrical box and the RTH9580WF was smaller in size than the electrical box. To cover up the box I also needed to order a Honeywell THP2400A1027 Coverplate. The setup was easy and the entire install and setup took less than one hour. Thermostat has been operating as advertised.

Now have two in the house. Easy to install when replacing an existing thermostat. Not as easy in a new situation because the wiring diagrams are all based on using existing wiring. The second use in our house was for a new gas fireplace that needed a "contact closure" switch. I was able to use the 2nd stage heat to accomplish this but a lot of trial and error. Remote monitoring is pretty good but some setting must be made at the thermostat like vacation settings. Gets outside temperature from the internet which is not always accurate for my location. Would be nice if it could use a sensor for the outside temperature.

I initially bought this thermostat to take advantage of the $50 rebate that Xcel energy was offering. It should be noted that this unit will work off 4 wires but to take full advantage you need 5 wires. My current setup only had 4 wires so I simply bought some wire and ran a new line (As I had done research on this unit, I was aware I would need to take this step.) Instructions were straight forward and install was a breeze. I'm really impressed with the circulation feature of the fan as it is utilized often. We currently live in a 4 level split and the second level has a gas fireplace that we run quite a bit. The thermostat is located on the 3rd level so a lot of the heat travels to that area which resulted in the furnace never kicking on as temperature was set to where we wanted it. This led to other areas of the house getting cold. Once I turned switched the fan to circulate, we no longer had an issue of uneven temps throughout the house. Since purchasing, I have also noticed a decline in our energy bill.

Overall, this is a very good product and works as advertised. The installation took about 45 minutes for each (I purchased two, one for downstairs and one for upstairs)... from physical installation through setup and registration, and it was all straight forward. Pros: - Easy, straight forward installation and setup instructions; - Many settings/options for use and scheduling (i.e. manual mode, vacation mode, hours-of-day, etc.); - Clear, easy to read (up close) and use touch screen; - Adjustment option for home's temperature and humidity differential. - Retains and continues to use pre-existing settings if Wifi or power is lost/disconnected. - Works very well with Samsung's "SmartThings", "IFTTT", as well as via the Honeywell Android App...assuming same with Apple's iOS apps. I am able to query and set temperature and other options from anywhere via smartphone (via cell data usage, requires home Wifi functioning/connected). - Gray frame: I feared the gray frame would not look good against my light colored walls. But it has a nice sheen to it and it almost appears silver-like. Cons: - Installation: little-to-no additional space for existing wires, so I had to tuck most of the excess wiring back into the wall behind the installation wiring plate. - Screen size: could be bigger, making the content easier to read from a distance. Actual display/touch screen dimensions: 3 1/4 inch by 2 1/8 inch; - Wifi: Needs Wifi close by for initial setup and registration: the upstairs unit had trouble initially staying connected to my home Wifi, and I had to use my nearby iMac's Internet Sharing Wifi capability to extend my network. My Apple Express extender was not recognized. After a few hours, I was able to turn off my iMac and the unit was able find my Wifi router and make and hold the connection. - Cost: don't expect this to pay for itself for many many years unless you have very sloppy habits regarding temperature settings; it is more about personal taste, appearance and local/remote automation capabilities.

This is the third Honeywell WiFi thermostat I've bought. The first two were earlier models. We are currently using them in a second home. This one is not only smaller its actually attractive, and was easier to set up than my original two thermostats. Installation time was under 15 minutes. It works exactly as advertised, and is perfect for my needs.

Great item, and it's free to use on the go unlike many competitor products. Setup is very easy and the customizable colors is a cool added feature. Like alot of my newly released item purchases I added the 2 year replacement plan. Peace of mind just in case the thermostat has a issue. This item will easily pay for itself over time.

Best gift I could have given myself. Installation was a snap and super easy programming.

I looked at a couple of thermostats before deciding on this one. Overall, price was decent and I'm really pleased with it. I especially like the app which is easy and convenient. I like the colors that can be customized and it's great to know the humidity levels. I wish it were a bit bigger, but it's certainly not a deal breaker.

Installation instructions were excellent no included both standard and non- standard views in clear detail. The thermostat was easy to connect to wifi and menus on screen are intuitive. We like the look a lot plus how the touchscreen (and remote via smart phone or Internet) allows for control that you want. Love it really!

It performs as expected, I have had it for over a month and haven't had any issues. Love the ability to set the temp or change setting using the app. Also get an email notification from Honeywell if the thermostat drops from the internet and a lot of other useful notifications. Overall very satisfied!

Super easy to connect, in a way it was almost disappointing. Once you set connection to your WiFi network, the thermostat did the rest. I was expecting to troubleshoot connections and logins to the app, but there were no problems. I love to solve issues, but this thermostat offered none. Overall, the thermostat is no different than a 7-day programmable thermostat, but it does have WiFi which means you can turn on and off from your phone if your schedule changes.
