I like having remote control. Easy install. Works as expected

I received this unit via my Geek Squad Warranty to replace an earlier Honeywell Thermostat. Extremely easy to install and set-up (check first that your current wiring contains a "C' wire) is a breeze. I like the fact I can adjust settings via the internet if I find I want to warm or cool the home prior to scheduled programming.....Looks beautiful on the wall. I would recommend this unit highly.

I almost bought a Nest but then I saw this one. It works great. It cost less than other wifi thermostats and has all the functions that I was looking for.

The wifi thermostat has a good looking design. Unfortunately, its size did not fit well the space I had from my old thermostat on the wall. Since I did not want to repaint the wall to accomodate the size of the new thermostat I ended up returning it and replacing it with another model from the same company that was the perfect size.

I have this in my cabin and I can watch the temp from my phone. I can turn the temp when I leave home and the cabin is nice and toasty when I get there!

Set up preset hours for home and away times. Set up a geofence for when you are within such a distance. All that stuff, but lets be honest...I turn down the thermostat at night and when I wake up, it's waaaaay better to just increase the temp from my phone under the covers than it is to get out of bed. Also, hooking it up is easy and stuff, lol.

Love the away from home feature, simple to use, easy to install IF you have a "C" wire. There are workarounds if you don't but know before you buy.

Was needing a programmable thermostat, was settling on a non-smart unit, when I came across this at a very decent price. Looked at few reviews, made sure I had the "C" wire, and gave it a go. Had similar problems during setup as others (had to disable mobile data on my Android during registration) but after a couple of hours it was installed and running. App is easy to use and I check it every now and then when I'm out, I've been very pleased so far. Highly recommend for the price.

It's easy design is typical and it does the job it is suppose too. Nothing fancy.

After reading reviews, I decided on this thermostat for price mainly. Second was the design. Honestly I haven't really used the actual device on the wall. It works from my cellphone and I even get alerts when I'm away from home and hubby is fooling around with the settings! Besides making me lazy, it's one of the best purchases I've made in a while!

Other than having to run a new wire in an old house - a horrible task - installation and setup was easy. Has options for various system config, so I will be able to upgrade the HVAC system and still have this thermostat. Works great and interacts with echo well. Not sure about the geofencing setup, but its still early and heating season is just beginning.

I have loved the thermostat so far. It works really well and the wifi stays connected consistently. The reason for the 4 stars is because it takes a bit to start the air unit and because the app itself is a bit glitchy. Other than that, its great for the intended purpose.

I bought 3 of these units with high expectations. The biggest issue I had was installation. It was very long and painstaking, as I had to go through the process 3 full times with 2 full factory resets on them before they finally worked. Most of the problems were with the Lyric app freezing up or not connecting properly. Anyway, after all that, they work great and I can control them easily with the app from anywhere. The geofence feature in theory sounds like a good idea, but it's not very practical. This is because the "home settings" don't kick in until you're inside the geofence radius, and that doesn't give the house enough time to warm up (it's winter now) before getting home. I tried it for a few days and hated it. The time-based scheduling works great and has adaptive recovery so the house is up to temp settings at the scheduled time. You can even set each individual day with different cycle times, which works out great for our family. Overall great AFTER setup.

Easy to install, reliable and does not break the bank. Upgrading from an old traditional thermostat. Love the fact that we can control and set temperature anywhere from our smart phone. If you do not have a c-wire check youtube for work-around it worked perfect for us.

This thermostat was a huge upgrade for my home and was very easy to install with detailed instructions included. Now I have complete control over my heating and cooling at home as well when I am away with the app from Honeywell.

I purchased two of the Lyric T-5s for my 2 story townhouse AC/heat pumps. Had the HVAC guy install them when we replaced the upstairs unit, so can't comment on any wiring issues. When he was done, I downloaded the Lyric app and proceeded to set up the wifi connectivity. That was a little buggy but after repeated attempts both units connected. Put these in mostly so we could monitor / change the temp while we're away from home. Since we're there most of the time, I didn't set up a schedule and, based on some bad reviews, decided not to use the geo-fencing feature. Have had one occasion when both units lost connectivity to my router, but pretty sure that was a router issue since it affected other electronics in the house. Other than that, it works great to pull up and check/change, turn on/off the AC units when either in the house or away from home. And that's all I was looking for, at least for now.

Easy to setup. The phone app is ok needs improvement compared to the nest app.

I've bought three of these. I had an HVAC tech install them so I'm not sure how difficult it would be to install yourself. I had one put on a house that had a heat pump and auxiliary (electric) heat. When first installed the unit turned the AC and the Heat on at the same time. The tech corrected this and it works great. I love being able to check the settings while I'm away from the house so if I leave the house and forgot the AC on I'm not supper cooling the house while no one is home. This unit has probably paid for itself in savings. The only thing I would change is more set points. It only has four settings: Wake, Away, Home, and Sleep. I'd like more, to give me more control. For example I like to run my heat in the morning for 15 minutes or so no matter what the temperature just to take the chill out of the house in the winter, then turn it back to a "normal" setting. I have not seen any that have more set points though...

Product is easy to install, cheaper than regular nest, programmable and l like the geo tagging

This is such a cool thermostat. Can adjust the temp from my phone if I'm in bed or at work. Easy to use and cool looking. Like the look of the actual device, numbers are bright but not overwhelming. Would recommend it any day over more expensive digital devices.
