Although I constantly clean the mechanism, it provides very poor suction not just on the carpet but also on the tile floor. The older model worked much better, and I had it for 6 years.

Mostly use the option of just vac, without brushes to pick up dog hair. Occasionally activate brushes to flip hair into canister. Canister is larger than most available cordless units. Hand unit also lifts off for quick vac. or vac. car . Always start with a fully charged battery. Charger can be mounted on wall ,to charge battery when unit not in use.

Also it is recommended to not leave battery on the charger. So it is a constant battle to keep Also it blows vacuumed air right in your face when you're using the handheld detachment. If those two issues are ok with you, it's a good handheld dust buster, hence the 2 star rating.

Posted .Hi Heed! If you find 15 minutes just isn't enough time to get your cleaning done, we recommend the Air Cordless Lift BH51120. It has a run time of up to 25 minutes. Excellent multipurpose Vac!

I got the chance to use it while I taught my cousin the basics. I was very impressed by how it picked up dirt and did not scatter on tile even with the brush roll on. The hand vac is perfect for small areas. I plan to purchase one myself to use during the week when I don't want to use my full size vacuum.

I haven't been able to test it at home due to being in a temporary apartment as my home is restored to "before Harvey" condition. That will be a different test. Now it quickly clears the floor very well. Only one caveat: it requires STRONG fingers or thumbs to remove the battery from the charger.

However, the battery life lasts 10 to 15 min and it takes nearly 4 hours to recharge. Given that the battery is a 20 volt battery, I would have expected much more. The suction power I'd give a 2.5 out of 5 stars. It barely works on hard floors.
