Posted .Hi vacuum1! You shouldn't be having any issues with your Air Cordless and we're pretty confident we know why this is occurring! The motor is located inside of the dirt cup lid and may not be attached on properly. Try this: remove the dirt cup by pressing the dirt cup release button. Then, twist the lid to the unlock position to remove the lid. Now, place the lid back on and lock into position. Be sure to properly align the canister (bottom first) onto the unit body until you hear it click into place. After completing this, you should be good to go! Hope this helps!

Not what I was expecting
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was really excited to use this vacuum as I had never spent this much on a vacuum before and had read lots of good reviews. Upon opening the box, and taking apart everything I found that the instruction manual was missing, maybe I received a vacuum that was returned :( Pros: CORDLESS, Easy to set-up, Lightweight (1/3 of weight of my Bissell Powerforce upright), LED lights were so bright that I didn't even have to turn lights on in a dark room, looks great, does't take up much space, the clear casing makes it easy to see if something is stuck in the brushes, worked well on tile, brush head is low profile so I was able to get under couch and furniture easier. Cons: Doesn't pick up as much as my broken Bissell Power Force (that was 1/3 of the price) on carpet, emptying was easy but had to pull out hair by hand, it has a pretty loud high pitch sound when on (I always vacuum around my toddler and it doesn't bother her, however this one made her cry) Bottom Line: There are some great features on the Hoover Air Series 3.0, but I'm looking for a do-it-all vacuum (esp when I spend $300) that has great suction on carpet, this one is more for hard floors.

And two dogs with medium shedding. The Hoover Air cordless is perfect for these needs. It's a light weight vacuum that stores easily in almost any small space. The LED headlight is a game changer, as are the TWO batteries that easily let me vacuum for what feels like hours! The design is sharp and has easy changeable filters, which helps makes this cordless a no brainer purchase. Good job Hoover!
