Customers praise the ONEPWR Evolve Pet Cordless Vacuum's battery life, powerful suction, and lightweight design, making it easy to maneuver and use. Many appreciate its strong performance on various surfaces, including carpets. However, some customers note that the vacuum's size may limit its reach under furniture, and that it lacks attachments. The absence of a light is also a point of concern for some users.

PROs:
- Hands-down the strongest suction we’ve ever seen in a cordless vacuum (and we’ve gone through at least a dozen in the past 10 years from Shark, Black & Decker, Hoover, Bissell & Dirt Devil)
- Super-simple operation, the 8-panel quick-start guide is honestly all you really need to operate and maintain the vacuum for years to come—just two switches, three surface settings, ultra-simple dust-bin emptying and removable/washable air filter
- High quality air filter at the top of the dust bin is great for trapping pet hair and dander
- Multi-surface setting will provide suction on hard floors with no roller action; deep suction and roller head action for dirty carpets, and moderate suction with roller head action that conserves battery power while offering reasonable performance for a variety of surface types
- ONEPWR battery indeed works across other ONEPWR appliances—great for extending usefulness of any one appliance during larger house-cleaning chores; built-in battery meter gives a quick status update of charge level
- Ultra-light for easy 1-hand carry from place to place, even with the battery installed
- Highly flexible with a pivoting head for working around corners and can still be run in a full horizontal lay-down position to get DEEP underneath beds and furniture
- Definitely a step-up in dust-bin size from most stick-vac canisters—requires far fewer trips to the garbage can between emptying
- Stores standing up so it’s easy to grab and get to work without unfolding, snapping parts into place, or looking for attachments
- The brush roll is removable with a simple turn of a plastic cap; the roller features a handy “cutting channel” that runs in between both rows of bristles so all you need to do is put one blade of a pair of scissors in the channel and follow the curvature of the roller—if you live with people who have really long hair (as we do), you’ll DEFINITELY appreciate how easy it is to remove gobs of hair that end up spooled around the brush roll
CONS:
- You *might* be able to squeeze out about 25-30-ish mins of continuous use on the multi-surface setting, but if you need to do some serious vacuuming of your carpets or have more than a room or two that needs some thorough attention, you might want to invest in another battery—we got exactly 14 minutes of runtime on the carpet setting (but MAN did it do a great job while it was running!)
- Larger capacity battery housed in same form factor as the smaller 3.0 ONEPWR battery is definitely appreciated, but we’re not necessarily a fan of the redesigned charger as it doesn’t “sit” on a shelf well with easy viewing of status LEDs as the 3.0’s stand-up charger
- With suction this powerful, a slightly wider roller head would have been appreciated—the brush roll clocks in at under 10” wide so larger rooms will take a bit longer to finish
- It’s tall—that’s not necessarily a bad thing, but I’m 6’3” and my arm was seriously bent to stand next to it and grab the handle—the vacuum is obviously mean to be operated out in front of you, but the shorter you are, the further out/flatter you’ll have to use the vacuum for it to be comfortable in your hand which makes it a little more unwieldly to control (see next item)
- Paradoxically, the Evolve was almost too light at times—all the weight is in the canister rather than down by the brush roll/head so there were times when I was trying to push the vacuum straight ahead and it would pivot to the left or right a little TOO easily
- Maybe I’m just dim, but for the life of me I couldn’t figure out how to remove the long wand handle once installed without it feeling like I was about to snap the vacuum in half. Of course, you probably don’t need to store it disassembled anyway, but it does store upright—and as I mentioned, it is REALLY tall for what otherwise seems like a small/light stick-vac so it will eat up a lot of vertical space if you decide to keep this in a closet with shirts/jackets hanging nearby
- There are no lights on the front edge of the roller head; this isn’t a major issue, but powerful LEDs are pretty cheap these days and it would have been nice to have a little illumination for working under beds or in corners of dark closets
- If the brush roll becomes jammed during use (maybe stuck on a drape or rug tassels), you can’t just back it out and keep going. At least in our experience, you have to turn the power off and back on again to reset the motor action
Summary review
We’ve got another Hoover ONEPWR wet floor cleaner in the house so we were excited to see how the cordless vacuum from the same lineup performed. Suffice it to say, it’s quite a potent little vacuum that ticks virtually every box necessary to be considered a spectacular buy in its class. It’s super lightweight, very maneuverable, easy to use and relocate around the house, and has literally the **strongest and most effective suction** we’ve ever seen/experienced in a cordless vacuum to date.
That awesome power does come at a price—the runtime on the battery, even the larger capacity ONEPWR battery that ships with this unit, will likely give you no more than maybe 2 medium to large rooms of really good, deep cleaning before you’ll need to set the battery back on the charger (which takes more than a few hours to fully juice again). Granted, you’re probably not looking at an ultra-light stick vacuum for a BIG whole-house cleaning anyway, but few things are as frustrating as getting close to the end of cleaning a room only to run out of charge with a few square feet to go (and at least in our unit, it didn’t slowly run down to warn us of impending battery depletion--it simply stopped running the second it was out of power).
Honestly, though, I’m not sure how big an issue this one significant drawback really is, especially if you happen to have invested in another ONEPWR appliance and have a spare battery lying around already. Were it not for that one niggle, this would truly be an exceptional vacuum that could even give a really good corded unit a run for its money. For someone keeping up a small apartment, wanting absolutely the best performance possible for touch-up cleaning, or maybe someone elderly or who otherwise has difficulty lugging around a heavy vacuum cleaner, the ONEPWR Evolve Pet vacuum really is a tremendous machine. The powerful suction, feather-light weight, ease of use/emptying, multiple surface settings, and the pet-minded canister filter and antimicrobial brush roll, all make this unit a fantastic choice for pet owners, or anyone who just wants things a little cleaner, but without all the effort and weight that typically accompanies a high-powered corded vacuum to do it. Definitely recommended, especially if you can score an extra battery or two to keep the clean going!

An Excellent Vacuum

This Cordless Hoover vacuum is awesome, its powerful enough to handle everyday messes and worked great with picking up even the most stubborn pet fur. The battery pack lasts for a long time and charges quickly so you can run it for as much as you need it. It has a button to switch from carpet or hard floor surfaces to meet your needs, the filter is easy to clean out, and overall makes cleaning up your space easy.
I tested this vacuum out on an area rug that collects the most fur because its the little Messmaker's usual play area and my last vacuum was never strong enough to pick up all the hidden/trapped fur. I've gotta say this vaccum did an excellent job and cleaned up the area rug even better than I expected, surprising me by how much was left behind by my old vaccum, the attached pictures don't do it service. I would highly recommend it to anyone with pets.

I have been searching for something like this forever; other cordless vacuums had too short of a charge time and then had to be plugged-in in plain sight in my kitchen to recharge every use. This ONEPWR Evolve Pet has a great separate battery and charger that is discreet on my kitchen desk, charges quickly, and charge lasts long enough for vacuuming my entire first floor 3 times. Just as important, the power is strong, and it really picks up dog hair, dirt, tiny debris (but not larger pieces) . It is lightweight, easy to use and clean and has a sleek modern design. Great for hard floor and light vacuuming of low-pile carpet. I rarely use a broom and dustpan anymore!

I decided to request this product after I researched it on Hoover.com and read that it came with 2 batteries and all the reviews on that website said that it was perfect to do the whole house because of that. When I received the unit, it was really nice looking and real easy to set up, only click in the handle to the body of the vacuum. Done. Started vacuuming the house and it picked up some nice dirt and dog hair and had pretty good suction too. The vacuum has 3 modes, brushes off, with suction only, carpet with the most suction and the brushes at full speed, and multi-surface with suction and only light brushes. The multi-surface mode with the light brushes is perfect for throw rugs on hardwood floors and it does not suck them up into the vacuum head and get stuck. Needless to say, one full battery charge did not allow me to vacuum my whole house and had to stop and plug the battery back in and wait until it was charged again in a few hours and finish. That was irritating. If it came with the second battery like the hoover.com website said, I would not had a problem, but because of this, it is only for touch-ups and light pick ups during the week. We only have had it for a week now and yesterday noticed that something was wrapped around the brush head. When I flipped the unit over and pulled out whatever it was, it was a strip of maybe fiber that obviously came from somewhere on the vacuum because it was the same length as the width as the vacuum. See the pictures. Where it came from, I do not know and the strip of adhesive to glue it to the vacuum was also clumped and wrapped around the brush head. Not nice. That was also when I noticed all kinds of hair was wrapped around the brush head as well. I can tell that I will have to flip the unit over periodically and use a pair of scissors and cut the hair off the brush head and pull it out by hand or with a pair of tweezers. Fun, fun, fun! Not! I have had my share of cordless vacuums and tried all the others out there, I am not sure this one will stand the test of time.

I've had this vacuum for almost a month and I am very pleased with my purchase so far. I don't have alot of carpeting my home, just two bedrooms and some throw rugs, but my dog sheds alot and I needed something powerful enough to pick up the fur that clings to the carpet. My older Dyson just wasn't picking up the fur like it used (even after my husband cleaned every little crevice of fur from its components). I opted for a cordless vacuum this time because I was tired of having to plug, unplug, and plug it back it again as I went from room to room. Since it's a multi-surface cleaner, I am constantly using it in the kitchen where I have both tile and throw rugs. The charger seems to hold a charge really well.

Six thumbs up, plus some assorted paws and fins. I wish this had been around ages ago.
Pro
Lightweight
Canister holds a good bit
Long run on one battery charge
Love having a removable battery
Pretty quiet AND a low tone
So light and easy to vacuum
Handles different kinds of debris equally well
Con
Really we have not had any issues.
I wanted to explain about noise. Normally I struggle to vacuum and leave the house when someone else does. I am autistic and the noise is very upsetting. But this has a lower sound tone and I can be around, and even vacuum by myself. Bonus, it also does not terrify the kitties.

I love this vacuum. The cordless feature is fantastic especially for areas like stairs. The battery is compatible with other Hoover products like the cordless car vacuum which is a big plus. The suction seems to be pretty good and I like the option of being able to turn the brush on or off. It’s light and super easy to use and carry.

So far I have to say I am very happy with my purchase. I went over several reviews and several sites for many of the higher priced cordless vacuums and this one had the best reviews by real people. I have not had long enough to rate the battery as several stated they had to get a replacement battery. The life is as expected - lasts long time except when using carpet mode for long periods of time and we have 3000 sq ft home and half is carpet. Very powerful on carpet and the container was much larger than the others at higher prices so it hold more dirt, as others noted they wished theirs had larger containers, so this was a plus. I was looking for something cordless that I could use on tile and carpet so I didnt have to keep replugging it in new outlets as I was cleaning and could just go right up the stairs easily. The only thing I wish this had was smaller tools to get in the corners and tight spaces. Aside from that this is well worth the price!

Tough decision on how to rate this thing. The issues that concern me may not be vital to someone else, so I just knocked it down 1 star.
The Good: We have had 3 different stick vacuums over the years, including the top brand one if ya know what I'm saying. This Hoover sucks. And by that, I mean it sucks real good. Very powerful. We use this primarily because we have 2 dogs, and I can get just near a clump of hair and this thing sucks it right up. Quality sucking. Another good is that it's got some good wheels on it. Very easy to roll around on the floor. I also love the larger canister for stashing all that doggie hair. I usually have to empty 2-3 times at least with the other vacs....haven't emptied this one yet and have vacuumed main floor twice now.
The Bad: This was the reason I knocked it down one star because the thing doesn't have any LED lights on it! We've owned 6 vacuums over the past 10 years and all have lights on them. Why in the world would they make a vacuum without lights? Especially because it probably costs $1-2 for them to add that on. Again, we vacuum dog hair on a hard wood floor and having a light makes an incredible difference. Super bummer. The other main negative we have is that this won't fit under some of our main floor furniture like our past stick vacs have done. Obviously that's no fault of the vacuum, but that's a super bummer as well.
So, unfortunately for us, the Bad's outweigh the Good's in this situation. I'll be returning this and getting another stick vac instead. If you don't need a light and don't need this to go under any furniture, then this thing is a pretty solid vac that I wouldn't hesitate to recommend!

This vacuum has been great and actually packs quite a lot of power. It's light and incredibly easy to maneuver. Gets under low spaces. Battery charges relatively fast and last long enough for me to vacuum my entire home. I love that I can remove the roller to clean and get rid of tangled hairs. Not sure why more vacuums don't have this feature.

I’m extremely pleased with this vacuum. It’s very lightweight, I can carry it upstairs with one hand and I’m a small person. That was my first priority. It has good suction, is easy to empty and cleaning the brush is simple. One issue, the head swivels very easily and I have to pay attention to that when vacuuming.

I have a short cut carpet in my new apartment. I vacuumed it regularly with a budget vacuum. There was nothing visible on the carpet. After running this thing over the carpet, it picked up a HUGE amount of dust packed into the rug! This will definitely help out with my allergies!
It is also very light. The rechargable battery is good. It is very easy to use.
My only issue with it, is that there is no extension hose to reach hard to reach places. But overall, great vacuum for picking up the dirt you can't even see!

I am very happy with this vacuum. It has great suction, it is easy to empty the container, it is easy to get around things because it swivels. Unlike some of the other cordless stick vacuums, this has some weight to it so it hugs the floor/rug. It works great at removing cat hair from carpeting. I recommend this product.

When I first opened the box I thought, oh no, what a pain to have to return this. It's small, very lightweight, but really does a great job of getting the pet hair and dusty dirt out of the carpet. I was so pleasantly surprised! The light weight makes it very maneuverable and easy on my back and shoulder to push. I find myself not dreading the chore and keeping it handy to vacuum much more often. The battery life has been sufficient for me to do the entire house twice, I just charge it as a matter of routine. It's very easy to take the entire collection cup apart to clean.
