I LOVE THIS VACUUM, IT SUCKS UP EVERYTHING AROUND. I WOULD NOT CHANGE IT FOR ANY OTHER VACUUM.

I bought this vacuum but it was mising parts. Hoover told me to return it. I bought another one. It couldn't be assembled because the screws that attach the handle to the vacuum were too short. After Hoover sent me the wrong screws multiple times, I returned that vacuum. I bought still another one and it had all the correct parts. Unfortunately, it worked for only about a month before the belt broke and I was without a vacuum. I tried very hard to love this vacuum since it got such great reviews, but the quality just wasn't there. The suction was great (almost too powerful) and I liked its light weight, but I think you get what you pay for. In my opinion, Hoovers aren't what they used to be.

I bought this one because it was recomended by consumer reports. I have had it for about a month now so far so good. we have dogs and the report said it works great on pet hair. the only complaint is I wish it had a longer power cord.

This vacuum is VERY powerful. The engineers must be very proud of themselves for packaging such power for such a small price. Great for wall-to-wall carpet, but not for small throw rugs - it will tear them apart like a bulldog. Vacuum does have a few attachments, but no powered hand tool or dirt finder indicator. Bag full indicator is not the best either - depend on common sense instead.

I'm so glad I decided to buy a "with bag" rather than another bagless vacuum. The suction and cleaning is so much better and so much less dusty and messy.

I got this as a gift and from day one it works like wonder. The floor settings are a great feature to use depending on carpet quality. It cleans up every piece of debris and plant soil. I give this inexpensive model two thumbs up.

If you are looking for a budget friendly vacuum, then look no further! This machine really does the trick for a whole lot less! It works great on carpets ... really gets the dirt. It's not the best on the bare floors, but hat vacuum really is? The only "con" I would say is that while other cords are usually 30 feet - this one is only 24. Not a huge deal, just a little inconvenient at times. I will sacrifice this little inconvenience for the price! I would definitely recommend this vacuum.

bought this first because of Consumer Reports recommendation, then because of all of the favorable reviews it's gotten on this site and others - no complanits or regrets at all - does the job and replaces much more expensive ones that wore out - you won't be sorry for the price - not the best looking thing but who cares? it's a vacuum not art - planning to send my daughter one for her first apartment

Watch your small pets this vacuum is self propelled and sucks up everything in its path. The only thing I don't care for is the accessory hose is a little short and quite rigid. The alternate you can purchase from the owner's manual works perfectly.

This is okay if you have wall to wall carpet. But, if you have oriental rugs beware because it likes to eat the edges. Plus, it blows hot air out the side, which is good if you're trying to heat up your house. Tried to use it on hardwood floor and due to blowing air out the side I had to chase the dust across the room. It doesn't work too well if you're trying to use it to vacuum a car because it is sort of awkward to lug around.

This is a great vacuum if you are not interested in impressing the neighbors or family. It's a workhorse of a machine and it gets the job done well. The hose is not very long, but you can use other attachments to correct it.

This vacuum cleaner is not among the more expensive but works like it is. Cleaning power is great while it is not big and clunky or heavy. I love it.

bought this 2-3 months ago. So far has been a good choice for normal cleaning in my studio apartment. However would recommend Dyson for a more powerful cleaning.

In my opinion, this vacuum is only average on carpets, and pitiful on hard surfaces. Within the first couple months of owning it, the lever to change the settings (hard floor - carpet) broke off, so the vacuum was forever stuck in the "hard floor" mode. As a couple other reviews said, I had to go over my tracks several times to get everything up off the carpet. It won't pick up much on hard floors either (it sprayed dirt, kitty litter, etc. everywhere). It's heavy and clunky and when using the attachments, the vacuum itself likes to lean and then tip over due to the VERY short hose. That being said, it gets the job done if you're not concerned with getting every last piece of dirt. Now, after two years of owning it, it started spewing smoke and filled the whole room with a burning smell. I guess it's time to get a new vacuum. I think I'll be looking for something else...

Overall, this is wonderful vacuum and I have to agree that if I knew someone that needed one I would tell them to get this one. The only thing is how the vacuum is designed for the cord on the back. It is kind of hard to wind cord up with the way they have it designed. Other than that I cannot complain.

I bought the vaccum a year and a month ago and while vaccuming it just stopped working. I thought I accidently pulled the plug out of the wall but I didnt. Seems like a fuse blew. Anyways, Hoover offers a one year warranty so I just missed getting it fixed.
