    This is a historical fiction movie based on WW2. Its a British side of the story through a ten year old boy To me this is a classic from my youth in the 90’s and had to add it to my collection. There is swearing, nudity, and sexual content

    Hope and Glory is Director John Boorman's semi-autobiographical tribute to his family's endurance of WWII in London. As seen through the eyes of the family's young son (presumably an avatar of Boorman), parents, siblings, neighbors, aunts and grandfather persevere on the homefront through war's hardships, all the while displaying the virtues of faith, hope, and charity (coincidentally the names of the boy's mother and aunts). The title, of course, is taken from Edward Elgar's famous anthem, "Land of Hope and Glory."

    Great movie but poor service from Best Buy. Arrived damaged and rest of the order still no show and no communication from bestbuy.com. I Don’t recommend using Bestbuy.com.
