This controller has a few major issues, while doing some things very well. To clarify, while I do play fighting games, I use a hitbox. I do work in a group home for kids, and even they see issues with the controller. Each pro is followed by a con.
Pro:
The octagonal analog stick is great, but you wouldn't typically use it unless using 360 motions.
Con:
The D-pad misses most diagonal inputs, and feels like it needs a pivot mod. Being it is membrane and not mechanical, you eill more than likely get misinputs, but this also comes down to the game you play. Street Fighter 6 for instance is forgiving. Tekken 8, the controller the art of the one I purchased, will punish you for using it.
Pro:
It has L3 & R3 buttons on the left shoulder!
Con:
You are forced into this control scheme, with no switch to revert the shoulder buttons into the standard while having RB/R1 & RT/R2 still working or turned off. Games such as Mortal Kombat 1 shich do not support the sticks ate almost unplayable without crazy remapping. You could do steam input shenanigans if on pc, but even something like the M30 by 8bitDo works that way. On console you may be able to do accesibility setting changes, but will have to every single time.
You really need to know the games you are playing if you plan to buy this controller.
I still think I would like the Razer Raion over this, but most people are after that coveted analog stick. I just dont think it is worth in most cases. While I do recommend it if you know what you are looking for, this is not a blind purchase.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Item is labeled as generic Microsoft but doesn't specify being only PC. Doesn't work on Xbox even though it's a Microsoft product. Beyond that this is the best controller for Tekken and a must buy
