XLR to TRS (tip-ring-sleeve) cables are used to patch to boards and equipment with 1/4" phone balanced inputs.
I've had good experience with Hosa cables. They're well made and don't have a cheap feel.
With care, this should last a long time.

This cable was exactly what I was looking for, for my recording studio.
It was an open item, and at $3, who wouldn't pick it up!

It's what I would expect from an audio cable...nothing more, nothing less.

For the price, I guess it is what you pay for. I noticed a very noticeable and definitely putrid amount of fuzz when I plugged my mic into a mixer with it.
