Hotel Artemis, despite a kind of so so of a plot, has character - and characters - to spare, and though much of it is an affectation, it's too fun write it all off as "steampunk."

Watch the movie expecting one thing but received something different. Something was missing and right now I can’t put a finger on it. Maybe a second viewing will fill that void.

Movie seemed a bit too familiar, then I realized it was the same premise as the hotel in John Wick. Still an entertaining film and decent performances from the actors.

A variation on many in the survivalist genre that is diverting enough, if not particularly memorable. It's competent but tired and the cast seems to realize it.
