I am an adult and I loved it! I had to have it in my library. So now I do. The production values are great the animation is totally cool and the interactions are in many cases hilarious. Thoroughly entertaining. I've watched it many times and still I enjoy it. Enough of me. The premise is cute and very workable. The happenstance of the non-monster coming across the hidden hotel is fun when he is turned into a "monster" among the hotel residences. The daughter sequences are very cute and endearing. Well, get it for yourself and see.

Okay, so I didn't know what to expect with this movie. Of course this is another movie I bought for my daughter (2 1/2 year old) and she liked it or should I say it kept her attention. She's watched it twice and enjoys certain scenes. With us having a large video library it's interesting to see what movies she requests. We will have to see if she requests it more but twice in a short period is pretty good for her. Additionally, she knows about mummies, vampires, ghouls, etc so I guess that's why it keeps her attention? Story is a new twist so I enjoyed it as well. If you need another good movie for your library, you may want to consider this one.

I fully expected to hate this movie. I had not been truly entertained by an Adam Sandler film since Grandma's Boy, and he wasn't even in that one. Truthfully, I didn't care too much one way or the other when I first saw this film, but my 3 year old son got really attached and asked for it all the time. After a few viewings, it grew on me. I would also like to mention that I like the way the movie used all of these classic monsters in such a lighthearted way. Insisting that they are non-threatening and misunderstood (while at the same time, misunderstanding humanity). I think it is a good way for my son to see the monsters that he will undoubtedly see in other movies and on Halloween in a way that will keep him from being frightened of them.

Our 4 year old's birthday is in the middle of October. He absolutely loves anything to do with Halloween, monsters, etc. The Halloween episodes of Disney/Nick Jr. shows are always his favorite, and he loves finding (kid-friendly) spooky cartoons on Netflix. So naturally we knew he'd love this one. Adam Sandler and Andy Samberg are awesome voicing two of the main characters, and there's plenty of good humor that makes the movie fun for adults as well as kids. We can't wait to see the sequel that's coming out this Fall.

This movie is funny. The plot is very unique. It's about Dracula's (Adam Sandlers) daughter (voiced by a really good Selena Gomez) wanting to explore the non-monsters world. She meets up with a millennial guy, (voiced by a very funny Andy Samberg), who might provide her with some help in exploring the human, non-monster world. It's funny for kids and adults. There are a good number of jokes that can be interpreted differently for adults, though, but it should just past right by kids' heads. Great, unique movie for Halloween (or any time of the year). I got the blu-ray when it was on an amazing $9.99 sale! Highly recommended.

I had to upgrade my DVD to Blu-ray for my extensive movie collection! This animated movie is fun for the entire family! Picture quality is great in HD along with the DTS HD 5.1 audio sound! Included is the DVD and Digital HD (valid thru 12-31-16)! Lots out extra's including deleted and behind the scenes along with a music video! Highly recommended! Purchased this 2 disc set from BB for under $7.00, great price!

Very funny movie. Characters are highly entertaining. Adults will recognize most of the actor's voices. There is humor on both the adult level and the children's level. Appropriate for even the youngest viewers. Bought this for my 11 year old's birthday party and could not resist sitting down and watching it with them. Have watched it several times since then and enjoy it every time. Adam Sandler is excellent as the Count.

Most movies that Adam Sandler play in are funny to me anyway, but this one had me laughing over and over again at all the little details that were added. From Dracula being afraid of rock music, to Frankenstein passing gas and blaming it on The Mummy, this movie has it all. There's even a pretty cool song that the main characters sing at one point. ...I've seen this movie five times already.

With a cast like this you can not go wrong. I took my son to see the 2nd one and of course he had to have the first one and you can not go wrong with a blu ray / dvd / UV combo at such a great price. I got this for under ten bucks. I think it may have been part of the buy two get one free deal. Hard to find better deals outside of best buy. If you have kids go pick it up they will love it.

Adam Sandler's newest animated movie is a lot more family friendly than his first effort. The movie centers around all the classic movie monsters and the fact that they want to live in peace away from humans. Adam voices Dracula an overprotective father who wants keep his only daughter in his monster sanctuary. The jokes are fast and furious. It plays like a farce especially when a human stumbles in the hotel and Dracula tries in vain to hide him from his other guests. It's a good movie to see in 3D.

Our family loves Adam Sandler and we have young children, so anytime we are able to purchase a movie that combines those two attributes, we jump on it! This film did not disappoint! Good film for the entire family to enjoy together, funny enough for the children with some classic, adult humor, mixed in for the adults! Can't wait to purchase #2 when it is released on Bluray!

Movie is great. Wonderful for adults as well as children. Plan to watch it again when our grand-kids visit us for the holidays. Would recommend purchasing the fist two films in this franchise. The film was very funny and well directed and produced. The music in the film was also very pleasant to listen too.

This is a very good movie from Adam Sandler who can sometimes get perverted. He builds a great cast including his family. It is all about Dracula's daughter trying to see life and a human guy wandering into the castle during a party. Things go crazy as Dracula tries to cover the human up and it gets very funny. Dracula goes crazy a couple of times, but nothing terrible.

I wasn't sure how good this movie was going to be when I saw it. I was pleasantly surprised. I first saw this movie for free on HBO and I liked it enough to go and buy it on Blu-ray. It has a lot of the same actors (voices) that Adam Sandler uses in all of his movies to tell the story of a father trying to do what is best for his daughter.

Hotel Transylvania is a children's fun Halloween funny movie. The children I had over during my Halloween party were mesmerized by this romp filled mystery movie.Actually, more adults then kids were watching it . It is a G rating, but a blast for the whole family.All Best Buy movies are excellent quality.You are safe spending money in Best Buy.

My son (12 yeears old) and I (47) have watched this movie twice since buying, we liked it so much. He's ready to watch it again. I love Fran Drescher, so she was the reason I originally wanted to see it. But the movie has several great actors doing the voices of the characters that I like besides Fran, such as Adam Sandler, Selina Gomez, Molly Shannon, John Lovitz, and Cee Loo Green. Pick this up, your kids will want to watch it over and over.

My six year daughter and I saw the film when she was 4. She always wanted the film but slowly seemed to forget about it. As soon as her sixth birthday approached I saw it on sale at best buy for $10 which I thought was a very good price. We saw it together and it was an excellent movie for a father and daughter. Highly recommend it.
