This is one of my favorite moveis. Its hardly ever available to stream in any of the streaming services unless you rent it. I rather buy the blue ray and watch it any time I want.

This movie is an underrated classic. It has all of the things that make horror movies. The story relies on horror storytelling as opposed to being a gore fest. It reminded me what it what like to be involved in the storyline instead of waiting for exploding body parts. Definitely worth a watch. Scream Factory also did a good job with this re-release of this movie.

This was a great movie, my wife and I loved it! This is a great remake of an old classic. I could've done without Paris Hilton, but it was nice to see her get killed. I highly recommend it! Also, some other good remakes are Hills Have Eyes, Black X-mas, The Hitcher, and Last House on the Left. (Plus, they offer this movie in a 2 pack with the extended version of The Exocist. Great deal, if you don't either.)

This movie was great! I loved every minute of it. This is a unique horror movie because the killers put their victims in wax and make them wax sculptures. I loved the whole plot of this movie; it was interesting. Paris hilton stars in this movie and she gets brutaly murdered ;).

If you scrape at the surface, House Of Wax doesn't look very promising. Paris Hilton, Elisha Cuthbert and Chad Michael Murray could all compete for the Most Arrogant, Least Believable and Stuck-Up Actor Awards in my book. The story itself is something we've heard and seen a thousand times before, and it's flavored with nu-metal and strip sequences. But surprisingly, it's actually a really decent film. The first thing I notice is the opening sequence. It's startling, catches my attention and even throws me out of the loop a little bit. The way we're presented to the characters is not much of a big deal, it's actually quite ordinary. It may be hard to relate to them all, but I've seen a lot worse set ups in my time. At least the film moves forward to a new place without wasting all too much time. Later we are given hints of something mysterious going on, and when the violent and effects-driven parts of the film kick in, it's all driving, well-made and a strong slasher film with a few small surprises to spare. The nature of the story makes it stand out, giving you a traditional movie in an unusual environment. Before it's all over, I'm definitely entertained.

This a fine example of how boring horror films have managed to get in today's modern world. This film is absolutely nothing in comparison to it's original counterpart, and unfortunately I cannot get the 1 hour 43 minutes of my life I wasted on it. Although I do believe it was a good move to have a different plot in order to better fit with the times (not many crazy wax sculptors about these days), I found difficulty with the plot. It was hardly actually explained why the characters were doing what they were supposed to be doing, the full basis of the background story and what exactly was supposed to be happening. The film starts out very, very slowly and within the first eighteen minutes, nothing of note had really happened. In the first eighteen minutes of the 1953 version, Price had already gone insane. If you're expecting death from the moment you put the BD into your player, be ready for disappointment, because it takes the young people a long, long time to actually find the place where they will ultimately meet their doom. This Film deserves 1 Star but I am in a giving mood

Cuthbert and Paris Hilton are hot in this. Buy it just for that, and it is scary, too.

Scary and unpredictable movie. Good plot line and great actors. also, its funny when paris hilton gets her head cut up.

House Of Wax is a movie I'd reccommend to NOONE. The movie's greatest strength is also its biggest weakness and to me- its ultimate downfall. The special effects were great, but the movie was just so disturbing I almost couldn't watch the entire thing. The acting wasn't bad, it just left you asking yourself 'why would you even do that' over and over again! The situations the characters found themselves in had obvious outs, but ironically enough Hilton seemed to be the only one smart enough to do something about it! This led to one brutally, disturbing death after another. While I did enjoy the story, I just couldn't stomach the special effects. This is one of those few movies that actually manages to go too far in its realism. Like Hostel, the torturous scenes reach deep inside you and pull out your darkest fears in ways that go beyond movie enjoyment. I'm sure this movie is one that many liked, and would gladly watch again and again, but I am not one of them, and I will not.
