This goes fast. Testing out the speed I almost ran over my neighbor. Was a bit disappointed by the breaks, if my neighbor hadn't moved, I'd be writing on how the scooter did after impact. The LCD screen also isn't bright and is not possible to see during the day. Speakers seem like an after thought, they're not something I'd use. Speaker quality isn't great but the speed and range of this scooter is outstanding.

Great scooter for 10 -12 mile trips or if you have CRPS and are unable to take bike rides with your wife or if you work in a warehouse and have to make a lot of trips back and forth! Being 230 pounds the scooter performs well even up hills, Top speed is around 18-20 MPH down hill and a consistent speed of 16MPH. Braking is not smooth but it does stop quickly! I would recommend this scooter! It is heavy to carry but it does collapse for ease of transport, fits in the back of a Corvette.

Bought this for my Fiancés 30th birthday, he's a Semi Truck Driver and wanted something that could get him around when he's bored and tired of sitting in the truck, this thing is FAST and so much fun, I think i might get one myself. The Bluetooth is an awesome feature, wish it bumped a little more and was a little more clearer but overall its an amazing buy, totally worth the money.

I am so pleased with this purchase. I wish the battery lasted longer that 11 miles but overall this scooter gets around. It’s very comfortable to ride, it takes bumps pretty well. We have even rode through gravel pathways and grass. I highly recommend these. I love the lights also. We purchased 4 of these!

Gf has the xiaomi scooter and this has rear wheel drive bigger tires and just a lot more power. Doesn’t have the same range but is much faster and more stable. I assume this is going to be the BF scooter for Best Buy and is much better than other hover 1 scooters due to the bigger wheel size and more power. Highly recommend.

Purchased this a while back and was excited on the range and the speed for its price point. It was a great electric scooter for a month or two. Now I’m receiving horrible quantity on this scooter. I rode it for about an hour and half and noticed the battery dropping. After I was done commuting, I left the scooter for an hour to cool down then plugged the charger in. I wake up in the morning and the charger says it’s full but the screen shows it’s half charged. Came to find out the battery is bad already! It’s only been 2 months and it’s bad already?! Never buying any hover-1 products again. Oh good luck with the customer service because I tried that. This scooter just sucks.

Pretty good scooter for its market value. The battery dies much sooner than 12 miles. It lasts around 6-7 miles in the real world. It feels unfortunate that the charge time is about 3x longer than the usage time frame. I also wish it took off faster. It almost feels embarrassing how long it takes, when crossing an intersection with a light. The speaker is a great idea, but sounds absolutely terrible, and I'd personally rather they took the money from installing speakers and put it towards better kick off speeds or battery time. On some positive notes, it does do well if you have to ride over a dirt path. The lights are also cool, but they should be able to change colors, because blue lights on a vehicle are illegal in some states, like Washington. I don't like feeling like I'm risking being pulled over, just for using my head and break lights. I overall recommend this scooter for very short commutes, or if you can charge it at the places you're taking it.

Bought this as a gift for my lady and she loooooves it. She was able to reach 18 MPH just in out parking lot so that is cool (and a little scary). This thing can fly as long as you ride it right and aren't too heavy. Be careful with this one. The brakes work fine but i wouldn't trust it to be able to hard stop in a pinch.

Love this thing- fun for the whole family. Headlight provides light, ground effects and bluetooth speaker. Digital speedometer with cruise control….. maybe a cup holder attachment for my Dunkies? Phone holder? Idk how this could be better

Just picked up the Hover-1 Alpha from Best Buy Last night and took it out for a spin at the local park this morning, I am very happy to say even at the low speed mode topping at 12 MPH is really easy to control the throttle and turning Ive looked at the Swagger 5, Xiaomi, and the ES3, all three scooters have similar specs and 8.5 " tires. This Hover Scooter has massive beefy air inflated 10" tires. It is 10 lbs heavier than the other scooters I mentioned Thus I t might be a tad heavy to lift on to the trains overhead bin daily commute into the City. The scooter itself is pretty solidly built, and according to the previous reviews online it is pretty stable. So far I'm happy with the purchase.

With capabilities including 18mph top end speed, Bluetooth music, ground effects, headlight, large standing platform, and chassis design with a price point under $400 makes it hands down the best electric scooter on the market.

This is just simply fun. It says 12 mile range, and 17.4mph. That's ideal conditions. SPEED: The speed is spot on. I measured 18.5 mph with GPS on my iphone. RANGE: The range is dependent on how heavy you are and the terrain you are on. I stress tested the battery to verify the range. I'm 200 lbs and living in Forida, it's quite flat here. Just gentle slops. I got 7 miles about 50% in eco mode maxing out at 12 mph, and 50% in Sport mode maxing out at 18mph. After that, it went in to a limp mode, where I got one more mile at 8mph. TOTAL TIME ON CHARGE: 45 minutes. CONCLUSION: It's a total blast. My wife and I will toss our identical units in the SUV, go to the park, beach, or festival, park, and tootle around in stead of walking 5 miles, which just makes the day more fun.

1.5 years later. The scooter was ridden alot by our middle school son. The product is good, held up to hours of riding in various conditions. Then from normal wear, the rear tire goes flat. This product is not designed to be repaired. Unless the design has changed, you have to change the tire while it is attached to the scooter via the battery wire (not easy). I decided not to dismantle the entire scooter, so maybe a connector exists. If you want to use through multiple tires and possibly a battery replacement, this isn't for you. If you like taking things apart for simple repairs, then it is a fun scooter.

I have two of these that I purchased in December 2019. The brake on one sqeeks constantly and the second one, the back tire rubs and makes a noise. Both have issues with cruise coming on all the time. Now the second one will not go over 12 mph on flat surfaces and yes I have the settings on correctly to go 18 mph. I had a flat after a few weeks which I can easily deal with. This scooter is FANTASTIC when and if it runs as advertised. The first three weeks were amazing so I purchased a second one. Now, neither works properly two months later. The cruise control coming on and getting stuck is a safety issue and both scooters come on automatically every time or perhaps its just getting stuck on high. Regretfully, I would not recommend this product. Cheers

We bought one for the wife as a Christmas gift and she enjoys it very much, so much so now we own two. The battery will last about 12 to 16 miles and will reach 18 mph. Easy to maneuver, can easily be transport in a motor vehicle to take it every where. Bluetooth capability for your music as you ride.

Great for the kids. They have so much fun riding it up and down the street. Love the under glow and lighting. The Bluetooth is good I just wish it wouldn’t drain the battery so fast.

Bluetooth connects with my daughters phone goes almost 20 mi per hour and has 2 speed settings also lets yoh know how fast you are going

At the beginning i didn't thought will gonna be worth for me, i never had a good experience getting electronic like this before. Always is something that make me disappointed! But this time is the best experience in my life! Im in love with my Electric Scooter! Im using it every day even that i own a car and i still want using me scooters for things that i was needing my car! Even that is not fast as my car i enjoying it, the way it's running so stable, listening music because of the Bluetooth integrated that have and additional than the lovely cruise control is make me feel like im a teenager again. I love my scooter and everyone should have one!

This thing is awesome. I'm 170lbs and it GOES. Never an issue hitting 18MPH so far. A blast to ride around. A few cons but nothing swaying me against a solid recommendation. A little heavy to lift when fold it, you wont be carrying this around place to place. Not too heavy to take in and out of a trunk though. Only other con is that it is a pretty bumpy ride if the road isn't relatively smooth, never concerned I was going to be thrown from it but once the shaking started I didn't want to maintain a max speed. Just be careful. Solid purchase, 2 people in the neighborhood have picked them up and have been really happy with theirs!

I really didnt know what to expect for a scooter priced so low. I am on the heavier side of the weight limit and still this scooter gets up to max speed. The only thing I would complain about are the brakes they dont stop right away then again neither do cars.
