The LED lights up and I can get it to beep when it's plugged in, but it won't take a charge and won't respond at all if it's not plugged in.

I specifically looked for one that had stabilization because I knew it was going to be hard. Even the initial stabilization didn't work properly. Every time we try to step on it the way the book said it would just start moving. I was really upset because I thought that this would have been great for the kids but I guess I have to go for something that cost more. It also had a really pungent smell.
