How To Train Your Dragon 2 is a surprisingly good sequel. The animation is, of course, outstanding but more then that, the story is very well written too. The cast from the original movie is back. Some time has passed from the end of the first adventure and the characters have grown (as one would expect of mid to late teenagers). There are new characters, new villain's (dragon and man) and we learn much more about Hiccups mother who is also introduced in the film. There are many fun and exciting things for people of all ages to enjoy. There is also a very sad passing of one character that was an emotional punch in the heart but it fits well with the storyline. (I do not want to say more as it would spoil part of the movie.) DreamWorks has done it again. It is not often one can say that a sequel was as good, or better, then the original but this is one of those rare VERY WELL DONE sequels. Grab some popcorn, snuggle up with a blanket and a loved one (child or special someone) and enjoy the flight!

This film addresses some of the issues from the first movie and builds on everything that works. Enjoyable, heartfelt, and at time emotional.

Loved seeing this movie with the wife so we went out and bought it to watch with our 2 year old. She now runs around saying dragon and growls!

The steelbook cover is wonderful. Love the art work on it. The picture quality is pretty noticeable compared to the Blu-ray. A must buy.

Promises to be one of the better animated trilogies done in my opinion....tied together well with interesting characters and storyline!
