I have been waiting for this steelbook released in US long time back. The only version you can get is triple price on Marketplace. No thanks to BestBuy made my dream come true. The steelbook alone is so pretty, included booklet from Studio Gibil. I am happy customer

Miyazaki's spin on Diane Wynne Jones is absolutely wonderful and lovely! The designs of the castle and warships are stunning. Beautiful scenic backgrounds. DVD arrived in great condition and a definite must to add a Ghibli's fan DVD collection, especially with the steelbook edition.

    GKIDS Honors Studio Ghibli

Many of you may be wondering the same thing I was when these releases hit stores. Are these Blu-rays an upgrade over the Disney releases? They are, in my opinion. However, are they worth purchasing again? Probably not. But, for hardcore fans, maybe. Here's why. First, picture quality. GKIDS has completed new 4K scans for these Blu-rays. In my opinion, it shows. The image is a bit cleaner. The details and colors do differ in some respects from the Disney releases. In comparing some scenes from Nausicaa, Castle in the Sky, and Princess Mononoke, I prefer the GKIDS releases. Is it a huge difference? No. But it is there. The reds are more intense and look red, not orange. And in Nausicaaa, the colors differ in scenes from the Disney Blu-rays. Actual color grading differences. Plus, the GIDS releases have more shadow details. The packaging and presentation on these releases tops Disney's with ease. The slipcovers are beautiful, with many of the releases using the same artwork as previous releases, with some exceptions, like Princess Mononoke. I also prefer the Nausicaa art here over Disney's. Each release is in a quality keepcase (not eco case) with art inside the back cover, so that when you open the case, you see a beautiful image from the film. The discs have art on them as well. I prefer the design on the GKIDS discs over Disney's, although, the Disney DVDs sometimes had very nice art as well. Lastly, the GKIDS releases also come with a small booklet that has some art and words from the creators behind the films. The menus on the GKIDS releases fall short of the Disney releases. They are not animated. There is no music. But, they are clean and simple. It would have been nice to have at least had music playing in the background like the Disney releases. Some releases include new extras. Many, if not all, extras from the Disney releases are ported over, but some may not be HD, as is the case on Nausicaa. As you can see from the descriptions, the Disney dubs are ported over to these releases as well. Plus, you get Japanese audio tracks, although, I have not confirmed if these are the original Japanese audio tracks, as I know that was a problem on some previous releases. Overall, I prefer the GKIDS Blu-rays, but if you have the Disney releases, you probably should save your money. However, if you're like me and you love the films and want the best presentation possible (video and packaging) and you find them on good sale, like they were on release at Best Buy, then it may be worth it to you.

I Absolutely Love this Beautiful movie for its story and beautiful artwork and the voice acting, and I love all of the characters and I especially love that when Sophie has a spell put on her by an evil witch to transform her into an old lady, Sophie‘s wit and sense of humor is really funny

This is by far one of my favorite studio Ghibli movies. From the story to the animation, to the music alone, it is an absolutely amazing movie. It’s perfect for a first time anime watcher. And it’s perfect for kids too,

There's something special about Studio Ghibli films, they're like chicken noodle soup for the soul—never a bad moment to pop one on. Howl's Moving Castle is one of the best films the studio has to offer with a fun storyline and compelling characters, you won't even realize you've been watching it for two hours! Anyone who has an interest in animation should check this one out, and any of Miyazaki's other films for that matter

Howls Moving Castle another fantastically put together Anime. The English dubbing is almost flawless. Sometimes I believe that the illustrators make a version in Japanese and a Version that can be “dubbed” in English, because most all new Anime (Like this one) has near perfect dubbing. Not like the old Kung Fu Films we the character says something only to have the lips still moving after they are done speaking!

Once again Studio Ghibli delivers another great film with their amazing animation and lighthearted story telling. Out of all of their movies I've seen, I'd say this probably looks the best. There's plenty of scenes that provide a variety of themes and details. A few bits also included a mix of 3D to assist the animation which came out surprisingly well. The only thing about the movie that suffers is the plot. While it's easy to stay interested in what's happening, a number of things seem to happen without clear explanation. While watching, it left me generally confused as to why or what things were happening, and I still feel confused afterwards. Despite this problem, I feel my time watching this was well spent. For anyone who is a fan of Ghibli movies or just simply interested, I think they'll be satisfied!

Howl's moving castle is another visual treat from Studio Ghibli, with a great romantic-fantasy tale about a young girl named Sophie who is stricken with a curse that leaves her old and feeble. Seeking a mysterious wizard named Howl, Sophie finds herself caught up in a conflict between warring nations and the various wizards and witches being sought in the power play.

I have been fascinated by this film since it came out when I was 4. Beautiful visuals, excellent music, and lovable characters I just had to buy it. Had the DVD for 12 years and it has seen better days, but now I have it on blu Ray In HD with tons of new bonus features. The best part is it’s the cheapest at Best Buy for only 17 bucks!
