    Good light transmission and durability. There's no sense in investing in a good lens and then using a cheap filter. The slim frame helps you to be able to stack a second filter like a polarizer without vignetting unless you're using at a very wide focal length.

    Essential for all of your lenses if you care about protecting your equipment. I shoot at the beach a lot, and this gives me a piece of mind knowing my lens aren’t gonna get scratched by any sand particles.

    I always use UV filters on my lenses to avoid any possible damage to my Canon L lenses. Hoya is a solid brand and would recommend.
