    Hoya makes good quality filters and this filter does the job it is intended to do protect the front glass element.

    for the size I was looking for Hoya was one of the only options I could find in store, while more expensive than the platinum that I was looking for it is worth it as I like to switch my filters out constantly, never sticks and is really clear.

    The Hoya NXT series UV filters are a great value. The filters are multi-coated optical glass, offer high light transmission, and are enclosed in metal frames. Yes, there are much more expensive UV filters out there and if you are a professional photographer, maybe you need that extra 1%-2% light transmission. However, for most folks these are superb and much better than the cheaper non-multi-coated filters.

    This is a must have especially great for using as a lens protector not to scratch the lens, this is a lot cheaper to replace compared to the lens itself

    Haven't seen too much of a difference in my photo quality other than a slight up on the colors. Easy to install and I use it to protect my lenses.
