This UV filter made me wish Best Buy had a better one in stock for sale, more expensive would have been fine! This thing is a dust, hair, and scratch magnet! Do not buy, especially if it's for a lens of $500 value or more, you should be putting a nicer filter on such a lens, much less the $1,300 lens I put this on!

This product no only protect your camera lens but also helps to filter out unnecessary glare.

I purchased this to protect the kit lens that I got with my camera. I have taken it off to take photos and can say that it has not affected photos at all. I think it is a great investment for some peace of mind. I would much rather clean dirt off the protector than the actual glass. I have since purchased two other lens covers from the same manufacturer.

My advice is never to use a lens without a protective filter. The ease of cleaning and the assurance that the front element won't get scratched-- except in the most extreme circumstances--are worth the cost. Hoya NXT filters are some of the best at maintaining a clear and flare-free image.

I have been using Hoya products since I had my old Minolta xg7. The filters have always been perfect. Not only are they easy to attach and protect the lens they are perfect for effects such as a piece of screen or a little Vaseline. It's a must have for any lens.

I purchased this to put on a nikon 70-300mm zoom lens. I bought this to put on the lens as a little bit of a insurance policy if I were to ever drop camera. It also keeps dirt and debris from getting into lens while outdoors taking photos.
